There's nothing better after up a taco stand lunch and an afternoon of art browsing than enjoying a delicious Asian fusion meal at Michael's at the Gallery. Open on the weekends, Michael's is unlike any other restaurant in town. Located in a whimsical sculpture garden behind Galleria de Todos Santos, the ambience is elegant and sophisticated, with black linen, brown butcher paper and firepits in columns, and the vibe is comfortable and intimate. The owner Michael, one of Todos Santos' best artists, prepares your meal in an open air kitchen, while Eric, another amazing local artist, mixes your drinks. The food is fantastic, an Asian fusion melange using the freshest local ingredients. I especially love the shrimp fritters and the tender filet with shitake cream sauce, and anything on the specials board. The service is sometimes a little slow, but relax - you're in Mexico. And you've wandered into a magical secret garden where all of your senses will leave sated.
