“A Taste of Paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

My friend and I had an amazing time resting and relaxing at Casablanca. The care and attention to detail paired with friendly owners, Isabel and Gabriel, made it a very memorable stay. The breakfasts were out of this world and I can't wait to go back! A must place to stay if you want to be pampered and really relax.

Based on the other TripAdvisor reviews, we had a sense of how wonderful Isabel and Gabriel (and their B&B) would be, but our stay truly exceeded those expectations. Casablanca B&B is a peaceful oasis in the hills of Todos Santos (a pueblo magico) that overlooks the ocean and lush srrounding palms/lagoon. Isabel and Gabriel are two of the kindest, warmest, welcoming, and generous people you will meet. They cared deeply that we were happy at every moment of the trip. We stayed in the Tomillo Suite, which is the sunny/airy top floor suite of the guesthouse complete with a beautiful bedroom/bathroom, sitting area, terrace and hammock. Isabel is a truly gifted gourmet chef, and she and Gabriel really pamper their guests with multiple-course breakfasts comprised of only made-from-scratch, innovative gourmet selections. Each morning starts with coffee and cookies on your terrace followed by a fruit course, fresh pastries, a delectable main breakfast dish, and freshly squeezed juices. As food lovers, we were continually blown away by the intricacy and tastiness of each dish. By the end of our 5 night stay, we had grown accustomed to the warmth and peace of the B&B that Isabel and Gabriel have created, and we were sad to leave. We hope to return soon.

We stayed at Casablanca B&B in March based on the great reviews we had read here. We can honestly say that it was Isabel and Gabriel and their amazing home that made the town worth traveling to. Our guest house was so clean, bright, fresh and welcoming that we immediately felt at home and relaxed. Isabel may very well be the best breakfast chef that we have ever met and Gabriel pulls the perfect espresso. The only advice we have is to not get fooled that the breakfast is over when the fruit is removed, that is just the appetizer! But well worth finding extra room for the main course! Hope you love it as much as we did.

We booked Casablanca for our last few days in Baja in late February. And I have to say, we hated to leave. Isabel and Gabriel have created the most beautiful hide-away in the hills above Todos Santo, and they couldn't have been more welcoming and gracious hosts. Every morning we awoke to find a tray of coffee, tea and homemade cookies on our balcony....and then had divine breakfasts in the patio off their very beautiful home. Every meal is not only incredibly delicious, but each plate is a work of art! Thanks to Trip Advisor reviewers, we knew to ask Isabel to prepare a meal for us - we chose our last evening in Baja for that exquisite pleasure. It was, as you can imagine, if you have read other reviews, absolutely fantastic. We loved the whole atmosphere of Todos Santos and loved staying with them. Isabel (and her friendly canine companion, Camillo) was our guide on a gorgeous walk through a hilly path to the unbelievably pristine and unoccupied beach. As my husband remarked afterward - I bet if we lived in the same city, we'd see them as friends. We so appreciated their hospitality, their guest house, their home, and every moment of our time there.

In late December/early January we enjoyed our second visit to Casablanca. When we were planning our trip we discussed seeking out new spots in Mexico to visit but then realized that we had to go back and stay with Isabel and Gabrielle.

During our week stay, there were many guests at Casablanca. We observed how Isabel and Gabrielle were dedicated to making their guests feel comfortable during their stay. For example, one morning Gabrielle guided a young couple to a trailhead and Isabel would make my husband's favourite muffins...and always little touches on the breakfast table to make the breakfast special!

Isabel cooked us dinner one evening and the memories of this special dinner can still make us drool....so delicious!

Of course, the rooms are very comfortable and the Casablanca grounds are beautiful with singing orioles and finches!

We did a lot of walking on our trip. The beaches are quiet and beautiful in this area. I hope we will be able to return someday for another visit!

Todo Santos is an increasingly art oriented little community about a two hour drive to the north from the San Jose Del Cabo airport along the easy to drive, mostly four lane highway on the Pacific coast. My wife and I had made day visits here during earlier stays in the La Paz area but had never planned to actually spend a night there. That has all changed for us now that we discovered the CasaBlanca B&B. We had read the earlier comments on this site and decided to give it a one night try. We became enthralled with this beautiful location so we returned later from a ten day Loreto outing to spend another two nights. Isabel and Gabriel are two fine Mexico City retirees who do a knockout job of providing a very relaxing, quiet, and beautiful place for travelers. Isabel is a true artist with her food preparation and, after a breakfast here, nothing anywhere else will be appealing. Gabriel, an architect, has done a beautiful job with the surrounding gardens and both will knock themselves out to answer questions and to direct you toward whatever might appeal to you. The location necessitates that you have your own car. Be certain to remember to carry the map that they will email to you so that you can find it the first try. The Pacific Beach that is shining so vividly to the west is about a twenty minute walk both up and down some hilly terrain from the facility. The beach is quite impressive but is much too dangerous for swimming. The hills and lights of Todo Santos are to the east but are just too far to walk for any restaurants or galleries. In the far east distance are visible the massive mountains near the East Cape.region of Baja Sur. Both my wife and I found this to be a special place to relax and to enjoy something that is just not available in one of the bustling hotels of this area...and, we were planning a fall return trip even as we were riding the plane toward our home in the States.

Room Tip: This is a two story facility with one unit per floor . Both have private places to sit and relax ou...

Staying at Casablanca B&B in Todos Santos was the highlight of our trip!!
What a wonderful experience.
The B&B was located in between Todos Santos town and La Poza Beach in a very tranquil area with beautiful views.
It was a bit hard to find as the streets around the area have no name.
The atmosphere was superbly relaxing. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and gracefully decorated.
Although we wanted to visit many things around the area we found it very hard to leave the lovely patio they have every morning.
We are already planning a next trip, just to enjoy the place with a good book.
Also being bird lovers we felt like in paradise. Just by sitting in the patio for an hour we got to see many different bird species including a magnificent couple of Caracaras, Roadrunners, many types of Hummingbirds,Orioles, Ospreys and Frigates just to name a few.
Our hosts, Gabriel & Isabel are exceptional people and Isabel's breakfast were amongst the best breakfasts we have ever had.
They gave us really useful tips about things to visit around the area.
Breakfast was served every morning in a beautiful terrace facing the ocean. Everything was very good, but the shrimp enchiladas were to die for. I am still day-dreaming about them.
I highly recommend Casablanca!

Room Tip: The Tomillo room (upstairs) was very nice and the views from our terrace to the palm oasis were gorg...
