I went to Saverios for the first time Thursday and the prices were similar to less fancy places I've been to in San Diego. My relative who is from Tijuana told me a lot of high people in government go here and the level of dress showed. We were the only guys not in suits when we went. They didn't seem to have a dress code because I was dressed like crap but I plan on dressing better next time I come here to show some respect. We walked in without a reservation and it was not busy on a Thursday night.
There was a man playing the piano, the inside looked classy with what looked to be old school architecture, and the service was very attentive. I ate a spaghetti dish with their original sauce and it was delicious as hell. This is in the much cleaner part of Tijuana away from what the typical American tourist sees. For middle class Americans and even poorer Americans this is a taste of a much richer life that you wouldn't normally experience in the US. Our total bill which included wine was under $60 when adjusted for the pesos we spent.
