I really hope they are not recycling chips and salsa like a couple other reviewers here have mentioned. That is gross and disappointing to read. I'll definitely will have to ask their management about this next time I visit.
Now for a review in spite of the "recycling" comments from others.
Recommend to order in Pesos instead of dollars. They sock it to you with the exchange rate they use, and with their prices already on the high side it helps to not pay and extra amount due to a bad exchange rate.
The inside decor is quite unique and interesting. In the back is a beautiful garden area that looks wonderful at night. (It can get cold during winter months though)
Their meats have always been fresh and tasty. Their home made flour tortillas are great.
The only negative is having to deal with a constant stream of roving sales people trying to sell flowers, gum, or jewelry. I understand they are just trying to make a living, but the restaurant management seems to let these sales people in at-wil and after the 5th or 6th time it started to get annoying.
You will also be solicited for music to be played at your table. Some of the local musical groups are great, but warning to first time visitors: these restaurant music players are not cheap. They expect a minimum of $5 USD per song and I've witnessed many awkward moments when a tourist thought it would cost only a couple bucks for a few songs. Get the price up front if you decide you want music played at your table and you can avoid an awkward moment or misunderstanding.
Yes this place caters to tourists and it is priced high, but they also have their own farm where they raise their own meats and non-meats and the extra in price is worth it for their steaks at least.
They also own another Restaurant in Rosarito called Los Pelicanos and that's right on the beach and both have same menus.
Now I'm going to go check into that "recycling issue" and may have an updated review pending those results
