My husband and I just got back from a terrific vacation in Los Cabos. We visited Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. Both locations were fun but in different ways. San Jose del Cabo was a quieter town with great shopping whereas Cabo San Lucas is the party, Spring Break type town. I enjoyed both. However, my favorite stop during this trip was to Todos Santos, home of Hotel California, which may or may not be the famed venue in the Eagles' song, depending on who you ask. Todos Santos is quaint and very artsy with fun shopping.
We stayed at Dreams the first part of our trip and at the Hilton Los Cabos the second part. Dreams is by far the best all-inclusive we've ever visited. Sometimes all-inclusives have iffy food and weak drinks. However, Dreams did not live up to that stereotype. The food was good, the drinks delicious, and the service was great!
The Hilton was FABULOUS!! It actually reminded us of the Four Seasons in Costa Rica which is a high standard for comparison! The pool itself is reason to check it out.
One last thing I want to mention was the Dinner Cruise on the Caborey. We signed up for it to get a closer look at Land's End - where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific - but ended up pleasantly surprised at the awesome band as well as the drinks, appetizers and shows. The voyage is a little rocky and if the water is too rough (like it was for us), you can't go over to the Pacific side, but it adds to the fun and excitement.
We ended our trip sadly, vowing to return, and encourage anyone to visit Los Cabos as there is something for everyone...golf, spas, shopping, bars/clubs, and even activities for kids at most of the resorts.
