We are timeshare owners and spend at least a week every year at this resort. Girasoles is our favorite restaurant because of the view, friendly waiters and consistently good food. We like to order drinks and an order of guacamole. This includes chips, guacamole, salsa and refried bean dip. It's enough for a light meal. Another good starter is the nachos-again, two could split for a light meal. There are dinner specials for around $25 pp every night. We like fajita night. It is also possible to order off the menu; the chicken enchiladas are good, as are the tamales and tortilla soup. By far the most reasonably priced restaurant on site!

This restaurant is located on the 4th floor of one of the Hacienda Del Mar Vacation Villas buildings. They share their property with the Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar. We ate here over several nights during our stay at the vacation villas. All tables are outside and the views are incredible. The food is average and the service can be a bit slow, but the servers are friendly. They offer specials 6 days out of the week. The Mexican coffee is prepared table side and it is well worth the $13.50 you pay for it. That gets you 2 glasses and watching the server prepare it is quite a show. If you attend a villa presentation at the property be sure to ask the concierge for the 15% discount card which you can use at this restaurant. They are a bit pricey but you are staying at a hotel so the prices tend to be higher. I had gotten the fajita special one night and being from the states I am used to fajitas being fried in a pan and served sizzling. This was a bit different, the meat seemed to be boiled or steamed and was placed in small tortilla bowls on the plate, it did not have much taste to it. Their water is filtered, so no issues with it or the ice. The flan had a strong egg taste to it which we did not like. For the Wednesday special we found out after we ordered that you can mix the items listed or ask for an additional lobster tail for $5. They have live music in the dining room in the evening. Blankets are placed on the backs of chairs in case you get cold during your dinner.
