“A Perfect 10!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

The moment we walked into the beautiful courtyard of Las Cabanas, we felt at home. The owners live on the premises and care for the place as only homeowners can and they are warm and welcoming. The grounds are exquisitely maintained - huge palms sway over a perfect pool and deck; a cozy outdoor kitchen and tables beckon you to sit and sip beneath a charming thatched roof; and 4 lovely and spacious rooms form the perimeter. Cruiser bikes await should you wish to ride around town. We could never have imagined a more perfect vacation home away from home!

We just came back from spending three days at "Las Cabanas de Loreto"
It was exceptionaly clean, beautiful, boutique hotel in Loreto, Mexico.
Owners Linda,Rick and Jill Jackson were very gracious, helpful, and abundontly generous.
Supplied our cabana with fresh fruit, granola, yogert, milk and coffie beans to grind for our morning coffie.
The facilities are very clean and totally user friendly. As seniors we nervously enjoyed the use of their bicycles to tour the town.Their recomendations of a guide to take us around the island o f Coronado for snorkeling, swimming, and sun bathing was terrific.Adrian was very gracious, and the water and sand was out of a travel book. Thanks Rick & Jill...........Terry & Judy

This was our first trip to the Baja peninsula and we struck gold! We were on our 10 year anniversary trip and couldn't have had a better experience. The owners knew all of the best places to go and hooked us up with probably one of the best fishing guides around. The rooms were clean and spacious. The granola and fresh fruit were a nice treat. The outdoor grill was great for the fresh Dorado my wife caught! Overall, Las Cabanas was amazing and we will be going back!

Las Cabanas is a terrific little B&B in Loreto. We were a group of 4 divers who stayed 5 nights in September 2012. (The best time to dive in Loreto is September/October) The owners (Jill and Rick) have developed a beautiful 4 unit place right in the heart of Loreto--Each cabana is large with a kitchenette--and they surround a lovely little pool. They are located just off the Malecon. Right now the Malecon is being completely redone--so it is somewhat of a mess, I would bet that the construction will last into 2013. Tourism is certainly down in Loreto--but if you do go there for diving or fishing--there are no crowds and Las Cabanas is the place to stay

Jill and Les make you feel like you have come home, they were always available with help and information. Clean rooms and a very inviting pool and BBQ area. The bicycles were a great way to explore town and pick up eats and beer. A great little oasis from the outside world.

This is our second time at Las Cabanas de Loreto and we are already planning our trip back next year for yellowtail season. The owners, Jill and Rick, make you feel part of the Cabanas family with ease. Jill's father, Les, is a plethora of fishing knowledge and also knows his way around the outdoor kitchen's grill. The small number of cabanas make this phenomenal find a real treasure. You get to know other guests quite well as you enjoy beers at the pool and sharing the days adventures and catch on the BBQ. Jill treated us to fresh chocolate clams that were harvested that day. Split, with a garlic butter, white wine and a light cheese on the grill slightly cooked. Heaven in a shell all washed down with her own margarita recipe. You can't get this experience at large establishments. A job well done once again!

Room Tip: Sailfish room is our favorite. Corner cabana slightly larger and more private.

My son and I enjoyed our stay at Las Cabanas de Loreto. This is a smallish Mexican-style hotel--think tile instead of wall-to-wall carpet--with clean rooms and a delightful pool, all centrally located in town practically across the street from the waterfront. The proprietress, Jill Jackson, deserves special mention as a welcoming and knowledgable hostess who, by the way, speaks perfect English. I highly recommend a stay here.
