Had a very enjoyable stay at the El Tiburon Casitas. The room was clean and comfortable. It had a full kitchen and a big bathroom - nicely decorated. Comfy bed I may add. Liz gave us some good tips on places to go and see. I had some trepidation on coming to Loreto but I soon felt at ease in the casitas and about town. The location is great - short walk to just about anywhere you want to go. We fished, snorkeled, ate, shopped, and took a tour to the San Javier Mission as well as a tour on the glass bottom boat out of Puerto Escondido. Both tours are a must! A thank you to Liz - she is a great host.

Room Tip: Tip - don't bring only US dollars. Take half of your spending money in US dollars and use the AT...

This was my 5th stay at El Tiburon Casitas in the last 6 years. Every time it has been a great stay. Liz does an excellent job taking care of her guests and making sure you have everything you need. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, very comfortable and the atmosphere is great. As always I cant wait to get back and I hope it will be soon. FYI you should really try the glass bottom boat tour out of Puerto Escondido. Thanks Liz for another great stay.

Room Tip: Every room is great!

This is the perfect place to stay in Loreto! Liz was a wonderful host and helped arrange a great day snorkeling for us. The Casitas are very comfortable and a great location within walking distance of everything in town. There is high speed WiFi to keep in touch back home. We also were able to take the paddle boards out for a spin. I would recommend El Tiburon to everyone.

Thank you Katie for your wonderful comments. I am so pleased you found our internet adequate and made use of our new paddle boards! Loreto has so much to offer active, adventuresome people like you! And I am glad El Tiburon was the perfect place to base your stay!

El Tiburon Casitas is the best place to stay in Loreto!

My husband and I are from Santa Barbara California and had not been to Mexico for years. From day one Liz was super accommodating helping us have the best possible experience in Loreto and surrounding Baja. The intimate setting of the casitas made our stay even more enjoyable. We met new friends sitting under the palapa in the warm afternoon sharing stories of what each had done that day. Our room was large, clean, and tastefully decorated. We really felt at home and very safe. The art work around the casitas was wonderful capturing what we came to see in Loreto. The location cant be beat, walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach. We had a five star experience. I highly recommend El Tiburon. Thank you Liz and Lee for taking such GREAT care of us! See you next year if not sooner.
PS We love Lucy the watch dog.

Can't say enough good about El Tiburon! It was everything we had hoped - and more! Liz, the owner was not only informative but took the work out of planning by arranging anything we wanted to do. She has a wealth of knowledge about Loreto and the surrounding area and her commitment to the community is to be commended. Our room was exactly as stated - clean with all mod-cons and comfortable. Having lived in Mexico and travelled extensively I can attest that this is about as good as it gets! Massive king-size bed, full bath and full kitchen made it a home away from home. However, the obvious indigenous decor didn't allow you to forget that you were indeed in the Baja. The pool right outside our room was a welcome relief from the heat after a day out exploring and the A/C at night allowed for restful sleep. We were sad to go and have only one regret - that we couldn't stay longer! :-( I am currently booking our next trip and you guessed it! Back at El Tiburon! Liz and Lee, you rock! Keep up the good work!

Room Tip: Only 4 rooms and all excellent. Only deciding factor would be the amount of beds required.

Thank you for coming all the way from Canada and choosing El Tiburon! I see you have booked for TWO weeks in February already! Whale season is magical and you will get to see a whole different side of Loreto in Winter. Thank you for the wonderful comments on the comfy beds , modern conveniences, and great service, That is what we strive to provide every day. Book directly off the official El Tiburon website as Trip Adv will not show prices or days avail.

We stayed here for a week with our three year old son--Casita #4 was perfect for us with a comfortable King bed and single for my son. The small clean pool was perfect for my son to splash around in as we could see him from our room or sitting in front of our casita. Both Liz and Lee were really great and helpful for our daily plans--arranged amazing boat tours of the islands and other fun day trips. We had a perfect vacation and will return. For us, having a kitchen was a big plus--nice to use the bbq and to just hang out and enjoy the sunshine. Thank you, Liz, Lee, Sirena, and Lucy--we miss Loreto already!!

Room Tip: Casita 4 is a good choice if you are traveling with a toddler and don't mind being in one big ro...

Thank you for writing such a positive review! Our beds are all imported from the USA so we do dot use those VERY hard beds often found in Mexico! And we have super nice pillows and linens too. Our small intimate pool and patio is perfect for couples and small groups. We are not really set up for kids- no fence around the pool, lots of things kids can get hurt on.... And we do not have any 2 bedroom units- all Casitas are an open floorplan like you mention- there is no privacy between beds. Your son really enjoyed our two watchdogs--- Thank you for making their week really special as your son made sure they were well fed too!!

Four tastefully appointed casitas around a small pool outdoor dining area with hammocks. Each casita has kitchenettes and bathrooms with nice showers. The owner, Liz is very friendly and willing to help organize whatever you want to do whether it's connecting you with a local fishing guide, a driver for out of town excursions or recommend local dining. We had a group and spent two days fishing. What a blast! Loreto is a great town with historic charm as well. I can't wait to go back!
