“You have to try this place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

Our friends had told us about this place so we had to try it. We weren't disappointed. We had tasty lemonado for drinks, quesadilla, guacamole, crab taco, lobster (3) dinner and their specialty, grilled yellowtail. Everything was cooked to perfection and nicely presented. The lobster and yellowtail dinners were on a bed of lettuce and fresh fruit with an amazing dressing. This place is not fancy, painted cement walls, brick floor and picnic tables, but clean. We will go back.

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2014

A great local restaurant with many different options - whatever your preference might be. We had ceviche, tacos with shrimp, ray, and marlin along with great margaritas. I cannot forget the salsas that are provided as well, and the excellent service.

It might not be a big commercialized place that is on the tourist map, but it is probably best that it is isn't as we like to find those random local gems!

Definitely will return on our next visit to La Paz!

“Still great after all these years”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

We used to eat here when we were in Spanish school 6 years ago. It was always good, inexpensive and friendly.

We sailed around the world and were wondering if McFishers would still be here and still be as good. No worries. Its even better than we remembered.

Everything his cooked to order so the fried items are always fresh and crispy.

The variety is excellent and they added grilled yellowtail to their menu since the last time we were here. You need to be able to wait 20 minutes for this item but its worth the wait and was served with a big delicious salad.

The beer is always cold and the smiles of the people who work here are genuine. This may be the best fish place, at any price, in La Paz..

“The best value seafood in La Paz?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

It's impossible to go wrong with this menu and if you don't understand anything, ask the owner. I personally guarantee (after at least 20 visits) that you won't find a better value in seafood in La Paz. I especially like how he uses bacon as well as their unique salsas. I took my sister here and she was blown away, insisting we go back the very next day to get more.

I most highly recommend McFishers!

“My new favorite casual-value seafood place in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Celebrated my birthday here last week with another couple. Didn't know anything about the restaurant except that it was one of our friend's favorite places. Now I agree.
We did not have the appetite to try all the extensive menu - the owner/chef showed us Fresh Ahi tuna from the grill as the special that day. I ordered two tacos, one camarones (shrimp) and one octopus. The rest of my table tried different things. The service staff was very friendly, and graciously opened our bottle of champagne with glasses that we brought. We had a very festive, happy and casual lunch here. When we return to La Paz next fall, this will likely be the first restaurant we will visit. All are looking forward to getting to know the staff and the menu Much More. Muy Bueno!!!
