“Hearts for the heart of La Paz”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

We stopped here for lunch after a long walk about the center of town. Everyone else was out holiday shopping, so we were almost alone! The interior patio is pleasant and the food was very good. I had a croque monsieur, which was well done (although the foccaia bread was not quite the right choice). All the offerings look tempting...and we found our margaritas to have more than enough alcohol!

Highly recommended for a lunch visit.

“Beautiful courtyard restaurant with creative, delicious food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

I ate here with 2 friends one evening.
It was pretty empty, but it had great write ups in several guide books, so we tried it and had a fabulous meal.

You sit in a beautifully decorated courtyard in a small side street near the cathedral. The surroundings are really pretty.

I had cochinita pibil, which was delicious and some shrimp tacos.
My friends had the quesadillas, tortilla soup and some tostadas.
Everything was delightfully and creatively presented.

The prices were also very reasonable.
You will have a great night here!

“Lovely people and yummy food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

The service was terrific and friendly. On our most recent visit, they were a bit slow getting the bill to us - one of the staff was drawing a cartoon of us and our dog and they wanted to surprise us-they were waiting for him to finish. What a lovely touch! We have been trying some of the more unusual regional dishes. He had an Aztec muffin and I had Burning Heart (corn and clams) Both were very delicious. Love this place. The drinks are nice and the coffee is great. We will be back often

“Lovely setting OK food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

The setting is worth a visit, really quite a lovely little spot two block above the malecón. We had dinner there on night and found the food quite ordinary to not great. The margaritas were small and lack alcohol. All that said, we are still glad we went. I think breakfast might be a better fit for food though.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Maybe we were unlucky, but the night we were there half of the menu, including most the specials, was not available and the service was off-hand at best. Disappointing because local friends had raved about it, and certainly the setting is very attractive. But the food we ended up with was not only poor but poor value. Maybe we should give it another chance.
