After driving by this cute building a few times, we decided to go in for lunch. This heart themed restaurant is very charming. Corazón Caffe has a spacious courtyard as well as seating inside with air conditioning.
I went with the house salad with additional items, which your order similar to a personal pizza. A base price and a little extra for additional toppings. If you get this, go with the mustard dressing, it's tasty. Also had a fried cheese quesadilla with a wonderful home made mole sauce. One of the best I have had in Baja Sur. Simple, light and elegant, perfect for the summer.
The food was very satisfactory, we returned the next morning for breakfast. I ordered the "Corn Muffin" with poblano pepper strips and corn, served with refried beans and chilaquiles. I easily could of eaten a plate of these corn muffins! My husband had the "Northern Migas", scrambled eggs with diced tortillas and raw green sauce. Very good.
Everything had great and flavorful flavors. It was traditional Mexican with a whiff of French romance. The price is very reasonable for the quality. Corazón Caffe and Tres Virgenes are my must stops in La Paz.
