“Baja Fish and Chips Yummmmmy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

Visited La Paz and wanted to stop by Tailhunter and was so glad we did. Service was great very attentive. Totopos and salsa to start and the the best fish and chips we have had in ages! Fish (yellowtail we were told)was light and flaky the beer batter was thin and crisp. The tartare sauce was different tasted like it was based on Mexican crema and was just right with the crispy fish. 2 beer a Paloma a fresca and 2 fish and chips was about $400 mex. Certainly can't get fish and chips with drinks for that at home!

“A Pretty Good Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013 via mobile

8 of us had breakfast here on Nov. 27, 2013.
Jerry was working alone so the service was a bit slow. We are On vacation, so it's good to slow down. The breakfast was delicious and the portions were H U G E. My wife and I were full for the entire day. A nice feel to the place. Well worth a visit

“Had to go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

Everything was so nice at Tailhunter that we had to go back. Great ambience with streetside tables on the Malecon, as well as three open floors above. Terrific food all 'round that was appreciated by all six of us. Great seafood! Excellent mojitos!!! Live entertainment on the top floor and a few big tvs for sports fans. If there is any kind of football or soccer on, and you don't want it to infringe on your visit, ask for seating away from the speakers. No problemos! Accomodating staff made our visits extra-enjoyable.

“Fajitas, hotdogs and Hawaiian Ribs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

Food for everyone's taste. Excellent. We sat upstairs overlooking the bay on the malecon, which is what the front area along the bay is called, great for strolling and people watching. The Tailhunter & Fubar Cantina has a full bar with several seating areas both street level and up a spiral staircase to second, then third floors. Also onsite is an office/convenience store at street level with the Cantina where owner Jon Roldan will book a fishing adventure for you and where upon return have his chef cook your catch. We arrived at the restaurant at about 11am taking a day trip from San Jose. We were fortunate to have Jerry for our wait staff. He was kind, helpful with menu options and enlightening. We were fascinated to learn that at 47 this gentleman, who speaks English very well, is waiting tables (three years now) in the morning and going to university in the afternoon to earn his degree so he can begin teaching English. Very inspiring story. We spent about two hours savoring our delicious meals and speaking with Jerry between his attending to other customers and taking care of our needs. Service was quick, we just lingered as we were so relaxed and enjoying our surroundings. You need to try this great restaurant. We saw several locals eating there too which really says it all. Next visit to La Paz we are already planning on returning for a fabulous meal and to get updates from Jerry.

“Standout location with great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

The Tailhunter was a great place to watch the World Series and watch the sunset. Being right on the Malecon in Laz Paz you're right in the middle of alot of activity and overseeing an incredible view of the water. They served up a great variety of food which was different from most of the other restaurants around. Recipies from different parts of the world were offered which is awesome for variety in an area that serves up excellent seafood. The history of the restaurant is very interesting as well. It's definitely someplace to have a meal and a great time if you're in Laz Paz.
