Bismark, located across from the famous Malecon (boardwalk) in La paz is worth the visit. With both outdoor and indoor seating available, it is not only a "tourist attraction", but is in fact a very popular local eating spot.
Bismark is noted for its seafood, and with good reason. All the dishes we have experience there have been tasty, well prepared, and of good value.
the only disservice to the restaurant ois that when they are crowded, service slows down considerably. (Recognizing we are eatung in Mexico, where the dining experience is normally a longer time period than many Americans are used to, but the service can be REALLY slow. This is not a problem is, like us, are in no rush. However, for some time conscious tourists,m it made be frustrating. My suggestion is to relax, order another drink - which will come quickly - and enjoy the atmosphere.
The seafood is worth ordering, but the salads are excellent also, and the antojitos before the meal can be outstanding.
A meal for two with two beers each should run about $30.00 USD.
I suggest you eat on the outside area. You will see more and enjoy more of the environment.
