We visited this resort for lunch last winter and knew we'd be back. We returned for our honeymoon and spent three nights here. When we arrived Christian was waiting for us in the driveway in a side by side and escorted us into the resort to our room. We moved into our room located in the villa at the highest point in the resort. We had a great view, a comfy bed, dual head shower and an outdoor shower and were very happy. On the other side of the villa was a couple small pools, a slide and a hot tub, but at the time it was not running. September is a slow month and we were the only guests in the whole place. We ended up getting moved into a bigger room right beside the main pool. It was a huge upgrade, we went from a nice hotel style room to a 5 bedroom villa with a kitchen, big living room, sliding doors that opened up at the edge of the infinity pool and just a few steps to the beach! We spent our days in the pool, swimming in the ocean, and driving our jeep around to the small nearby towns of La Ventana, El Seargeto, Los Planes, and even Los Barriles. We ate breakfast and dinners at the resort and the food was simple but delicious. Try the arrachera, it was a surprise favorite. Being the only ones their we had a chance to get to know the staff and we felt like friends, instead of guests. We had the opportunity to watch Hurricane Manuel blow by the coast, we watched the lightening and waves from the comfort of our bed at 4am, but by 8.am the next day it was sunny and calm again. We had a great stay and will be back again.
