My teenage daughter and I had a great day exploring the beaches. It was too cold for swimming (in late December), but on low tide, we waded across the bay and spent a few hours walking and enjoying the view. We had planned to spend a half day, but ended up spending a whole day there.
Thankfully, it is undeveloped, other than for a small parking lot and a small stand that rents kayaks and sells a few snacks. I have heard that renting a kayak and exploring the mangroves is very nice. You have to go to another beach if you want restrooms or real food. I have traveled to many places, and this is one of the prettiest I have ever seen,
