Two great meals in one week! This month's themed evening was Caribbean and with snow still on the ground outside, they had their work cut out making it feel tropical. After a nice relaxing rum punch, we had a great selection of West Indian food, we had pork skewers and prawn & coconut soup to start and goat curry and the Trinidadian beef stew, both of which were really tender and tasty. The gingerbread pudding was really moist and spicy and a very nice cheese board. Yet again there were few spare tables so book early for the next. Then at the weekend, there were twenty or so for our street Christmas meal. We had a reception mulled cider and a great choice of three starters, three mains and three puds. The home made terrine (with loads of bread) was really nice and the beef cheeks just melted they were cooked so well. Everybodies food looked really nice and no-one was disappointed. With the ever-friendly staff and cosy atmosphere, it was a really great evening.
