“A sad and sorry place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

This hotel has seen way better days. Rooms are spacious, but have seriously degraded-paint chipped and pealing off, bathroom is falling apart and feels grungy. The painted cement floor looks like an old dilapidated sidewalk. Pool is nice but closes at 7 pm. No Internet at night. The worst though was the staff. They are surly and rough. If you have any questions or complaints, they just tell you to leave the hotel. This response, "if you don't like it, get out", comes so naturally from their lips that they must use it many times a a day. Before they check you in, they present you with a list of rules. Staff are so miserable that it must be a very awful place to work. This hotel is very isolated and it takes about an hour to walk to the closest restaurant and more to walk to the beach. We reserved a lakeside view room and got a parking lot view. As far as we can tell, if there is a lake, it is nowhere near the hotel.

Room Tip: Don't book this hotel

I am very surprised to see the negative reviews on this place. We loved the girls at the front desk. So helpful in booking things for us and giving us a deal for extending our stay by 6 days.
We rented a scooter which is a must for getting back and forth to town/beaches. So fun!
Room was huge, A/C worked great and they had english HBO.
I recommend skipping breakfast at the hotel and eating in town.
Pool was beautiful, clean and hardly anyone around, felt like we had the place to ourselves.

They arranged transport to pier so we could see Phi Phi. They also drove us to the Krabi airport so getting wherever was a breeze.

Recommended!

I have been with my wife on february 2013 for 1 nights in this hotel..we booked 3 nights but one of the two owners (sisters) asked us to leave because we were complaining to much, she said. And so we did..and we were happy to leave..

We booked 3 nights and get a special rate and before we checked in the lady called me on telefon and told me that there were problems with our
room..the aircorn was not working...so the first night she said will give us the room with working aircorn and than we hade to move to the room with no working aircorn. I asked her why we can not stay in room with aircorn, and she told me that was booked already(witch was not true). So i told her ok if we have free breakfast and if she put fan inside the room with no aircorn. And she accept the deal. ok
Than we arrive and she told us there is no water in room cause problems.
ok..we said nothing
than once in the room the safebox was not working and i went to reception
and the lady was already unfriendly.
finally they had to change battery at safebox..but me was not complaining..just asking...very friendly.
than at 8:30 pm we wanted to have dinner in restaurant but she said closed already....we said nothing and accept.
the breakast the following day was nothing special...not to say bad.
Than we were supposed to move to this room with no aircorn and we were told that we should pack our things and than the hotel staff will move the thing to our new room...so we did and went to the beach...
At 6 pm we went back from the beach and when we arrived i went to the desk to ask for the new key for the new room...the lady made a very annoing face and told me that we had to wait 15 min cause of problems with fridge...
So at that point i went the first time a bit upsad and asked her whz they did not fix the room before...she knew for 2 days that we had to move there...
than she asked us to leave....

The hotel complex is not bad..the rooms ( if working) are ok...very old tv..
anyway the hotel is a bit old...at swimmingpool there are 6 bads for many rooms..

There are working total 6 people in this big hotel complex...many time nobody at hoteldesk..no service at all...even no maps for aonang..nothing...
one of the sisters--the only one english speaking is very very unfriendly...and she means that she is the best and everything knowing person....

the location of hotel is only ok if you are willing to drive a motobike...if not you will be in middle of nowhere...

Make yourself a favour and do not book this hotel....this hotel will not give you a thai feeling...and you will for sure not enjoy....

i travel to Thailand since 15 years but a such unfriendly manangment i never see before.... :-)

Strengths: Beautiful and well maintained property. The place has a certain character - like staying in a well decorated, cozy, quiet villa. Very close (0.5 kms) to the best spot (beginning) of Noppharat Thara beach. About 3 kms from Ao Nang beach – but one can rent a scooter from the hotel for 200 Bath/day (fill your own gasoline). Cab to the beach costs 50 Bath per person one way. But the place is very neat and clean – bed is very comfortable; the bed sheets and towels are pure white; bath rooms are clean and uniquely renovated. The property is as well maintained exactly as shown in the pictures.

Weakness: The entire place is run by the owner family and lacks the professionalism of the hospitality industry! For example do not expect any pampering – pick your own luggage even if your room is on the 2nd storey! Don’t dare even ask for an extra creamer with your complimentary coffee. The soap and shampoo provided is pathetic - good to wash your clothes. The hotel has invested in just one electric conversion adaptor to be shared among its 50 rooms. The juice provided at breakfast is from those cheap artificial beverage cans. The place looks like a very well decorated home/villa but does not have the ambience of an ultra modern luxurious hotel that have posh granite floorings etc.

Bottomline: It’s like staying at a rich but stingy cousin’s well decorated, very well maintained villa. 

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the ground floor unless you are comfortable carrying your own luggage. All rooms op...

This is one type of jail ....the huge staff (max 3 girls only) ..... Check in time 2o' clock n they give us room at 4o' clock....hot water not available n some times available but in afternoon not morning .....and so far from beach, you have to pay 50 baht per person ....
now one more thing you don't believe in my next sentence,"this whole resort handling by 3 girls only ( cooking, receptionist, room service etc....) in short i will say if resort will give u money for stay than u should not waste your memorable holiday....!!

The staff were friendly and willing to help and always with a smile on their face, but it was very disorganised and understaffed. The rooms were lovely (we stayed in a pool view room).
A few improvements such as proper staffing at the restaurant, someone to help with luggage and a proper running bar would make all the difference. It is about a 10minute tuktuk ride to the main part of Ao Nang but we didn't find this a problem and it was about 50baht per person one way.

I lived in this hotel for 3 days.
Let's start with first day.

Day 1
No one to pick and drop our luggauge in our room.
Before even welcoming we were given list of rules and regulations.
On arguing about some rules, they simply asked us to leave the hotel in most disgraceful manner.
No intercom facility working in room.
Bed was making funny noises even without playing games with my wife.

Day 2
At break fast, no one to answer which dishes are vegetarian. When found someone and asked I got replied in such a way that I preferred not eating only.
Ordered coke and sprite in my room(no intercom so ordered after going to reception) but unluckily I didn't receive it for 3 hours. Then my wife went there and collected the order.
And don't forget that in this hotel you are charged for even ice cubes.
No hot water for shower available.

Day 3
Cockroaches are noticed in room, No one will come to your room to clean them up.

Strongly not recommend this hotel because of lack of hospitality and comfortness.

And don't argue with the receptionist, her friend is in police and she keeps warning us if we want to go to police station.

Location is also disadvantage. It is no where closer to beach. No easy transport available.

All thanks to gn tours and travels, bhavnagar, gujarat, india to give us such a horrible experience in beautiful place like Krabi.
