My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights in March 2011 after 5 nights in Patong. Ao Nang was a welcome relief after the bustle of Patong. We had no booking for the hotel and were offered a choice of two rooms, one in the old part and one in the new part. We took the new room at 2800BHT for two nights but we decided to stay longer and negotiated a lower rate for the remaining nights, about 2200BHT.

Our room was not a pool access as they are very exposed to the pool and anyone around the pool. Our room was on the ground floor at the back and had a large balcony. It was very clean and spacious. Flat screen tv, extra day bed, lovely clean bathroom with rainfall shower and pressure shower.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating. There was a charge for the internet in the foyer but quite reasonable. Breakfast was adequate, not fabulous but OK. The pool was big and clean. There weren't many people around so it was very quiet. There is a lovely massage place next door, best pedicure I have ever had.

Across the road are a couple of bars. One is called Wangsai and it is lovely to sit on the deck and watch the water, eating and drinking.

The hotel is an easy walk into the main part of Ao Nang. The street stalls on the top of the corner on the way to town are worth a visit. Everyone says not to eat off the street stalls but these were fantastic and cheap.

There are plenty of hotels in Ao Nang but we enjoyed the Srisuksant and would recommend as a good option.

Room Tip: Stay in the new part and negotiate a rate

After checking out the other hotels on Nopparatthara beach road, i checked in to this place as it seem to be a fair deal. I choosed room 402 in the old wing, it has a good view, no odor problem, and i don't mind to walk the stairs. Now, they have a new wing with pool accsess rooms etc, but you have to have the curtains closed since its a free view for everyone. I'm sure its nice, but i didnt like it.

As others have stated, it's a couple of bars right across the street that play loud music, it didn't disturb me, neither did street traffic. Close the veranda door and you'll be fine.

I see that other guests miss english speaking staff. There is a woman named 'Oui' working there, she speak excellent english and she is friendly and helpful. My opinion is that the staff i met in Srisuksant was nice.

The resort has two pools one with a bar, the time i was there they were both clean. Since the beach is at its best from noon, they are a positive factor. My room was well cleaned the time i was there, a few ants lived there but the only thing that bothered me was the lack of hot water when the hotel was filled up during the queens birthday. They should fix that ASAP.

The breakfast was, in my opinion, boring. So was the food in the restaurant the time i ate there. A short walk up the street is A-One, they deserve a recommendation.

In the lobby they also have a couple a book shelves full of books you can read, i was surprised to find books in my native language there. They also have magazines in english. The newspapers is all in thai.

I enjoyed my stay in srisuksant, and i don't have any problems recommending this place to others. I might be back, on my way to the islands.

I stayed here for 3 nights.
The rooms are nothing special, although they all have a balcony. Most of them with (limited) seaview.
The two pools are great, but it is close to the main road, so some noise.
The rooms are clean, but they did not change the linnen.
Service is ok, most with a smile
Breakfast is good. Great variety and service.
The location is right across the beach, There are some bars on the beach that play loud music till the early morning. Not really value for money. You can get the same for less.

Room Tip: Try to stay in the Villa Wing.

We stayed here for 1 night as we were driving to Koh Samui. The front area seemed nice and they had a nice pool with a swim up bar. Everything seemed perfect for us. They gave us a rate of 2200 baht, but then gave us the option of staying in the new wing for 3200 baht. We said no. What a mistake that was. The room had no hot water and they told to wait 10 minutes. We did and still no hot water. The next morning we woke up and no hot water. I told the front desk and they send a young boy to check and he verified there was no hot water. 3 hours later with no response from the front desk, I complained again and asked for a different room so we could take a hot shower before we left. They looked at me like I was crazy! Eventually after getting the manager involved they gave us another room. When we were finished and checked out they tried to charge us for water that they said was free to drink in the room.

Other things about the room:
It had a lot of bug. Tiny ants crawling all over the bathroom. Mold and mildew was all over the bathroom. The shower leaks all over the bathroom floor. In general very dirty. I won't stay here again.

I can't vouch for the new wing though. It did look very nice from the outside. I guess it is only 1 month old.

Some positives to add. The breakfast was pretty good and was included. The staff were very nice and friendly, except when we were asking for another room. The location was great. Very close to the beach. It was far enough from the main section of town where all the shops and restaurants were, so the noise was not too bad.

In December we stayed at Srisukant resort with a group of 12. The staff helped us with all of our needs and the swimming pool and bar were in daily use. The resort has just opened it's new suite and we were the first people to stay in the new rooms. They are lovely, but some works are still going on to finish the project. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The rooms overlooking the pool can be a little loud due to the bars across the road on the beach. Overall, we all had a great time there and would remommend this hotel again.
