Because it was our last night at Krabi, we decided to splurge a little. We first read about the Hilltop here but only decided to go when our hotel staff passed us a brochure of The Hilltop and told us that there was free transportation up as long as we had a reservation.
We arrived around 6pm, the restaurant had a splendid view but it was still a tad too hot. Once the sun had set, it was much better. Between 630-7pm, most of the tables starting filling up fast.
We ordered the Papaya Salad with Deep Fried Catfish (really delicious!), Grilled Mussels (also another favourite), Pineapple fried rice, omelette and tom yum soup. The prices are definitely expected to be much higher than those around Ao Nang, but still of good value, dishes start around 120baht onwards.
The Hilltop is great if it's your last or for celebrating any occasions.
