“Wonderful service in a great setting !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

We stayed for 3 nights in Success Beach Resort, and were blown away by the high quality room and facilities with a balcony access to the swimming pool awash with palm trees. Definitely recommend to anybody who wants a great service in a wonderful setting!

My girlfriend, who is Thai herself, me and my 5 year old daughter really enjoyed staying in this hotel..I looks very nice.. rooms are pretty big and give out on the very nice looking pool..its also just next to the beach and sea.. I advice this hotel to everyone.. specially young families. Very helpfull and nice staff... the breakfast buffet is ok too..

I stayed here during the low season with a friend and we had a great time. The rooms were nice, the pool great, the breakfast plenty but most of all the staff were incredibly friendly. We had scooters arranged for us by them for a reasonable price and explored the coast that way. Would definitely stay again!

Cleanliness: mild in the bathroom, croaks in the tiles, dirty windows
Location: far from the center
Rooms: firstly attractive be Aust in the view to the pool but the fan is squiring, the air con is noisy, the bathroom is moldy, the cupboard is falling appart, we put our stuff in and some pieces fell out
Service: breakfast starts at 7am, I went does at 7.30 and the coffee wasn't even ready
Value: absolutely not a four star hotel. It's not worth the time and the money

To be avoided

Well, firstly I'll start off that we ended up in that hotel because one travel agent in Bangkok recommended it to us and told us that if we do not book in advance we would probably have to sleep on the sand:-) We learned never to believe in those recommendations. Anyway he showed us a brochure where the place looked really nice and kept on telling us that the location is great and its a beacutiful place ect. So that's why we booked the hotel and endend up there.
Firstly the staff was really nice and helpful - there is nothing bad to say about them. They were friendly, smiling and even organized us a softer mattress after we complained that the bed was rockhard.
The location was away from the Ao Nang beach - yes it was actually close to the sea and there was also a beach and some shops and cafeterias but that part of Ao Nang was very quiet and secluded. One evening we ended up walking back to the hotel and the streets were dark and it felt like we were going the jungle or to the count Draculas castle:-) If you wanted to go to the center you had to walk for quite a while after what it would be possible to get a tuk tuk (if anyone was there),
The hotel itself looked abandoned and lonely. The rooms smelled really bad, all the furniture was really old, bed was rockhard and it looked like time had stopped there. Also the air conditioner was very loud, pool area did not look so nice and the absolutely funniest thing for us (we took this as a very good lesson in not believeing any pictures and locals) and the worst part for anyone who is travelling with kids is the childrens playground - everything was broken and looked really really old.
For the price that we paid, I'm sure we could have found a much better place. As as we found out - there were plenty of free rooms in other hotels in Krabi:)
The only thing we liked was the staff and breakfast.

The welcoming staff greet you to book in with a cool drink and beaming smile. The room was spacious and clean showing signs of the rejuvination taking place on the complex.
The pool is a godsend to relax by after your hectic exploring of this wonderful area. The tours out to the islands on long boat is an expeience not to be missed and staff are only too willing to help arrange. They are also a wealth of information on the best local restaurants. We would recommend this as an inexpensive location away from the hussle & bussle of the town - a 30 baht trip on a tuk tuk to the town.

Room Tip: Lower rooms less steps and balcony steps to pool. No lifts available.
