This restaurant is situated on the same side of the road as McDonalds and situated about half way between McDonalds and the mosque.
Seating is raised up off the pavement and consists of wooden rustic chairs and tables.
We had eaten in this restaurant several times 2 years ago and at that time found it quite acceptable. As it is only a short walk from our guesthouse we returned there.Food was Ok,prices per main dish from about 100TB.Service just about ok.
However on 2 subsequent occasions when arriving about 7p.m,we were told that all the seats by the edge of the platform were 'reservé',leaving only 2 tables near the kitchen.
We were not advised of this with regret, but rather complacently by the owner.
I think he is happy to block off his tables for people who also drink alcohol and cocktails with their meals(which we don't).
We didn't like his attitude and as he is not the only 'kid on the block' we decided to go elsewhere for the rest of our dinners in Ao Nang.We ate well at the Boat Noodle(a bit nearer our Guesthouse) which was cheaper than the Massaman and dishes even better. We also found 2 good family run Thai food restaurants with tables and service further past the mosque which is fast becoming a thriving area and much cheaper than the tired and over-priced places nearer the beach.
