“Cheap and very filling! Perfect dinner in rainy evenings.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

We've ordered the double soup, with tomyam and chicken. The tomyam was slightly spicy for my european friend so she had the chicken soup mostly. You can tell the owner to change the portion of ingredients in case there's any that you don't want to have. Staffs are very helpful and always around to refill the soup.

“This is the way to enjoy steamboat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Saw many review about this restaurant and decided to try it out. Ordered a set meal with the double soup option based on the recommendation by a friendly old lady from the restaurant. The Tom Yam base soup is delicious while the chicken base is suitable for the young kids. Great variety of ingredient, meat, seafood, tofu, egg, fish ball, crab stick and most important lot of vegetable. Somehow the vegetable at Cameron taste better than elsewhere maybe it is due to its freshness. The steamboat also taste differently at Cameron due to the cold weather and we are sitting outside the restaurant, I guess this is the way to enjoy the steamboat.

“Cheap and Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

Everywhere else I saw, they charged us Rm20 per head for steamboat but here its just RM16. The varieties were more and the soup taste good.

“Fantastic Steamboat on a cold evening.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

This is a Good and Cheap Chinese Restaurant on the same Street of Maybank in Tanah Rata.
We tried their Famous Steamboat meal which came with Chicken, Beef, Fish fillet, Fresh Prawns, Squid, Crabstick, Oyster, Jelly fish (which I did not fancy too much), Fresh Mushrooms, Fish balls, Tow Foo, 2 types of Noodles, eggs & lots of fresh vegetables from the Highlands.
We were lucky as the owner’s son was there to explain on how the Steamboat should be cooked; starting with the white meat, red meat, then the fresh vegetables to create a soup stock, for the noodles and for the very end the Eggs! It was a fun evening but messy!
It cost RM 16.00 per person.
Definitely Value for money.

“Inexpensive and good steamboat.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

I went to Mayflower for a vegetarian steamboat. It was a good price (14 RM) compared to other places in town. They also allow a single person steamboat (some others require 2 person minimum). The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. The soup stock was good. Overall a very filling and tasty experience.
