“Hard to find, but once you do - a nice hike”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

A nice walking trail - once you find it. All trails in Tana Rata were notoriously poorly marked. We started up trail No. 10 for a good 10 minutes before actually finding the sign for it. That said, once we were on the trail, enjoyed the walk. Scenic views from the top, and a nicely groomed trail in the thick of rainforest.

“Beautiful, but not well mantained”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

This trail system in CH in quite interesting and offers the tourists the opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape, but it is a pitty that in trails aren't very well kept, and you can get lost...

“nice view but poorly marked”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Its a good hike, you can view the various farms along the way. To find the way is the hardest part since the trail is poorly marked, some parts of the trail are hidden by bushes. Have to go thru the overgrown bushes.

“A good insight of the highlands forests”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

The start of this trail is a little out of the way, it is behind Tan's Camillias, near the clock tower in Tanah Rata. There is a small, around 5 spaces, car park then the trail leads off, don't worry at the beginning you are actually walking through someones garden.
The trail is quite demanding walking at times with the first assent being a steep scramble.
For the more adventurous you can pick up trail 11 at the peak and do a loop joining back onto trail 10 just before the car park. The loop trail tacks about 3 hours trecking.
We took 3 1/2 hours to the first peak and back, bird watching.

“Good & relatively easy hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2012

Takes less than 2 hours to go up to the summit from Oly Apt and back down again. SuzeG's description was a big help. A nice walk in the morning before it gets too warm to get a good view of the highlands. You will find a couple of pitcher plants near the electricity pylon. There are not many signposts or marks but it is well trodden and there are signposts at intersections. May get slippery and muddy on after heavy rain.
