“Lovely hotel among greenery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

We stayed 4 nights here. Even though hotel is lovely with lots of greenery around, it is not near to Tanah Rata town or Brinchang town. Next to hotel is a souvenir shop and a steam boat restaurant. Even though the hotel has its own restaurant you have not much choices of food or shopping nor is it near to any tourist attractions. You NEED a car to get around. We had overlooked this fact and had to take a taxi to/from the bus terminal. The only way to get around is to call a taxi, standard rate about MYR8. Thankfully the weather is cool and permitted us to walk to Brinchang in 40 mins and to Tanah Rata town in 30 mins. Then we took a taxi to return to the Hotel. Room is big, clean and bathroom is large, but a little dim. Our room rate provided breakfast and it had quite a large spread and quite tasty too. I noticed that the food is always being replenished. Thumbs up for this service. The other con of this hotel is the in-room wifi. Connection is only fair and their system is such that you have to change the user name and password EVERYDAY. What a hassle not only for us but I felt it for the staff too, as they had to prepare and cut out small slips of user IDs and passwords to give out to guests.
Tips: if you don't drive, take a short cut to the Agro strawberry farms through the Desa Anthurium Apartments. Speak nicely to the security guard to allow you to pass through. Walk all the way to the right towards the back and look for a small gate to the adjoining apartments. Cross a drain and follow the path that will lead you to the farms. Be adventurous.

Room Tip: The rooms near the main road are noisier.

The drive from Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands is breathtaking though a bit long and the twist and turns are not for the faint hearted. If you get car sick easily, the drive may not be for you. The 4000ft elevation is spectacular and filled with sceneries of amazing beauty. Stop at one of the tea plantations and admire the view with a cup of tea.

Once you arrive to the hotel, you are greeted by inexperienced staff with little to no desire to make you feel welcomed. The check in process was awkward and uncomfortable and it's a little bit of a guessing game as to what is next.

The hotel looks clean and the rooms are decent although the musty smell can be overwhelming. There are very few amenities in the bathroom which is unusual for Asia. Things like face clothes and hair conditioner are absent.

The breakfast was limited and the quality of the food was below average which was not helped by the poor service from the staff.

The hotel location is excellent as it is in the middle of town but the restaurants in the area are not built to impress. Short version, I am glad I had the opportunity to see the town but would do better homework on a place to stay next time.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a high floor to enjoy the views

My family and I checked in into a family room - 2 queen beds. Decent sized room for the 4 of us. Service was quite slow - we had asked for the staff to replace a bulb in the bathroom that had fused (it was not working from the time we had checked in) but it took 2 reminders and several hours later before anyone came to attend to it. Room came with breakfast - limited choices, mostly Malaysian fare. The hotel does not serve any pork or alchohol - we had wanted to just enjoy the evening sitting outside on the terrace at the end of the day with a beer. Camerons is now suprisingly warm - a light jacket in the evenings and early morning will keep you plenty warm. There is only 1 F&B outlet and it does not stay open all night. Internet services came with the room rate but connectivity was poor, even then you had to be either sitting close to the window or be down at the lobby. Overall, I would say I had a forgettable experience at this hotel -wasn't bad but nothing incredible either.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. This is the first time we stayed here despite numerous trips to camerons. I have to say its good value with excellent room and service. Do be aware to avoid camerons during long holidays cause the jam on the road is terrible. You can be stuck for hours on the road n would spoil your holidy. Otherwise this hotel is a great stay. The room was fresh n clean. Bathroom was clean. The first day towel was clean but unfortunately the 2nd day one was not tht fresh. The service excellent. Breakfast buffet also good. Price was good. Would come here again next time. Do remember to avoid long holidays

The hotel is three years old and was a very pleasant surprise. Rooms are nice and large, service is good and whether you are passing through the Highlands or stay for several days it's a good choice. The location is great for either visiting Tanah Rata or playing golf at the recently upgraded Golf course.

Room Tip: Keep away from the ground floor.

We stay for 1 night without making any reservation to the hotel (walk-in). The price are consider reasonable as the room are clean and quite spacious. Breakfast spread average. The location of the hotel beside a golf course add extra marks for the morning view. But it's quite far from the town where the famous night market located.

We have been there in last year for 2 nights. The location of the hotel is little bit far from the central town but it's a very nice hotel. It's clean, rooms are specious and the interior is also nice. From my room we can see a wonderful view of the hills.
