I have been working in Oxford for the last few months and have tried several different places to stay, and I am happy to say that this was one of, if not the best, to date.
I was met by the charming owner Elizabeth and shown to a decent sized room, although it was a little chilly because a window had been left open, but that was soon rectified with the radiator. The room had just about everything I needed and a comfortable night was had, although the wireless internet coverage was patchy due to the thickness of the walls but there are plans to get this improved.
The guest house is right on the edge of Kidlington (which is not the most picturesque of towns), and is a short drive to a few decent pubs - there is actually one a few doors away but I don’t think they serve food. There is a bus stop right outside that takes one into the city, but I chose to drive to the park and ride so I could get a quick getaway the following evening, although Elizabeth offered the opportunity for me to leave my car there for the day if I wished.
Highly recommended accommodation.
