“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2010

Stayed here for three nights last week and arrived back again tonight for another three nights. The rooms are ideal for the business traveller who wants more than just another hotel room, the room iteslf is more like a self contained studio flat with pleny of room to relax after a day at work. Would love to come here with my wife for a weekend break too, must arrange that for the new year, the gardens look stunning.

The room itself is really nicley decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean and the self serf breakfast is a really great idea for those like me that prefer their own company first thing in the morning.

The owners are very welcoming and very flexible on late arrivals which works really well if you are travelling up late on a Sunday as I have done for the last two weeks.

Could not ask more from this little gem, relunctant to write a review for fear that others will find it!

Simply great, well done to the owners for offering such a great place at a really good rate!

The room was very nicely finished, nice decor, small sofa and table and chairs. Large bathroom (although our room was designed to allow disabled access), and all very clean. Continental breakfast in your room suited us just fine, loads to choose from and can be done at your leisure. The village is lovely, couple of pubs and a shop, the Mill and surrounding area is really nice.
Couple of small negatives, my wife and I both found the bed really firm and the shower over the bath was not the best - not particularly powerfull and difficult to get the temperature just right. Overall, lovely place, will probably return.

To call this just a B and B is an injustice - it is much more an experience. Fantastic accommodation furnished to an very high standard, extremely roomy, beds to die for - for both size and comfort, - plenty of breakfast in the room. It was great to have so much flexibility with a small kitchen and provisions provided. Wyton is a lovely place too, with nice pubs, beautiful thatched cottages and nice walks. MaryRose and Allan were very friendly and couldn't do enough for me. Thank you very much - will stay again for certain.

Immaculate. Easily the best Bed and Breakfast in the Huntingdon and St. Ives area. The rooms are all new, nicely designed and well proportioned. It is new construction, so there are no retrofitted bathrooms or other odd things you find in a typical B&B. Premium quality bed like you would find in five star hotels. Bathroom is immaculate and good sized. The breakfast is not hot, but is a nice variety and top quality ingredients. Wired and wireless internet access is included in each room and the price. In the summer, the garden behind the main house is peaceful and secluded. Magdalene house is located in the quiet village of Wyton, right next to the excellent Three Jolly Butchers pub. Access to Huntingdon area is convenient. I am a business traveller and cost is a big factor for me. Magdalene house is significantly less expensive than the hotels in the area. MaryRose and Alan Pearce are the owners and have always been very professional and very hospitable.

  • Liked — Excellent price, internet access included, soft bed, good bathroom, pub next door, helpful owners
  • Disliked — only two pubs and one market in walking distance.
