This restaurant has been open for about a year now and I've been twice. First I went on my own, shortly after it opened and ordered a steak. The ambience in the restaurant is quite nice, it has a very western feel to it (even though it sits atop a Chinese restaurant) and a choice of dining areas (inside, outside or in a metal transport container) is a nice quirky idea.
The problems i encountered were that it was a bit like buying a t-shirt in a shop, it looks nice enough but when you try it on it's just not you, there's some emotion missing. For me this is what Container Grill was lacking, emotion.
A few weeks ago I went back with my wife to try it again. It was a mid-week night so understandably quieter than i guess a weekend is. It does sit opposite Gading Serpong's one and only Hotel (actually since we went a new hotel has opened) and I think they thought people might choose this over a hotel dining experience.
My wife ordered a very ordinary pasta and I had salmon. The meal was expensive (compared to similar restaurants) and just not particularly good. I understand that franchise/chain concepts don't have a great deal of room to move on the menu and plate layout but for the price we were under-whelmed.
