“I love Coll”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

I was informed the food in the Isle of Coll Hotel was good, so we went to try it!
If you want to try local seafood, this is the place to go........Seafood starter and lobster main.
Very tasty.
Met up with the fishermen that supplied all the goodies in the bar after and had a great time. This is real west coast hospitality, served the way it should be.

Room Tip: Book in advance.

We had dinner at the hotel and all enjoyed our meal. The thai coconut seafood chowder was excellent. The views from the hotel are fantastic and it was great to sit outside enjoying a drink.

We sailed here and had dinner at the hotel. Delicious scallop starter & a superb fillet steak, cooked to perfection. Service was excellent.

Lovely hotel very clean and welcoming room. Only trouble rather a high bath but should not be a problem for ta;;er epople than me. Breakfast very good and dinner nearly all locallly sourced wonderful fish soup very relaxed and friendly service choices of 3 places in the hotel to eat, will cater for Coeliacs diabetics or any other dietary requirement. Staff lovely the bar is used very much by the local residents and some guests might find it a bit noisy especialy on darts night this was no problem to us and we were pleased that there was a centre point for the residents to come ot and enjoy themselves.

Very highly recommended.

Room Tip: Always ask for a front facing romm

Very warm welcome from Julie & Kevin. Cozy family room and well-equipped resident's snug with good stock of books and games for those occasional wet days on the West Coast! Excellent food & exemplary service from universally friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble & kids very well looked after at meal times and with a constant flow of hot chocolates available on request. Kevin's 4 x 4 tour of the Island enjoyable & informative and helped with further exploration under our own steam. Some of the beaches are fantastic - carribean-like - and we were blessed with a couple of beautiful days even though it was mid-February. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Family room at front of hotel has great views out over Arinagour Bay.

Whilst I was staying with a friend and not at the hotel, we did eat there 3 evenings in a row. The welcome was warm and friendly, the setting was superb, and the food was simply divine. Very reasonable prices and a quick service. The staff could not be more helpful, which added to a must return soon experience.
Highly recommended
ps If you happen to have a helicopter, there is a heli pad in the garden!!

Fabulous food and great views, obviously a hub of island life, could wish that hotel had a 'snuggery' where residents could retreat with a book when the weather is as foul as it was when \i was there!
