Look, I'm not a regular Trip Advisor user, and even for this review I'm over a year late. But I'm still thinking about this meal and so I must recommend this restaurant.
We dropped in here at the recommendation of one of our friends who stayed with his wife in the hotel (which looked amazing, but a bit pricey for this particular type of holiday we'd planned). We had a lunch menu, 3 courses for £27 I think (then we had wine on top) and I can honestly say that it was one of the best meals I've ever had...I really can't stress this enough - this really is a restaurant that you MUST go to while it's still reasonable, as once it gets a Michelin star it will rocket.
I don't like gnocci, never have as always found too doughy, but this melted in your mouth. After comlpimenting the chef (via the waitor) the charming chef came out with a PRINT OUT of the recipe, plus some tips etc. He was second in command at a Michelin star restaurant and had come there to start his own thing. Speaking with him it was quite obvious that he had the right idea about food; the best ingredients, attention to detail and an incredibly high quality standard.
I've got no idea how expensive dinner is, but if you've got a spare £30 and fancy one of the best meals of your life - head here.
p.s. nice area too and the guys let us borrow maps to go for a nice walk, and even filled up our flask with hot water and gave us some tea bags.
