We arrived at La Maison Bourgeoise after a very long and tiring drive from Calais (en route to Spain) and were met with glasses of wine, and plenty of it! A charming couple, very welcoming and a beautiful house (& amazing gite which we were shown around) with dogs and a cat. We ate with John and Helen and the meal was delicious, as was the continental breakfast the following morning (at a time to suite ourselves). Helen even drove to the next village to get fresh bread for us as the local boulangerie wasn't open early enough! Our bed was enormous and extremely comfortable - the views from our room magnificent. The bathroom was huge, as was the shower. The only disappointment was that we were only staying the one night. Would thoroughly recommend it.
