“Giant fans”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

So these are what the big fans from afar looked like! The windmills provide electricity and also attract tourists. Amazing, huh? Take pictures at the first windmills so the rest of them can serve as the background. Bring a large towel or bandana to protect your camera. Go there early in the morning so it will not be too hot. On your way back to the highway, pass by the woodcarvings being sold along the road and buy a small replica of the windmills. Buy in multiples, haggle and save more.

“Magnificent Windmills!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

These giant windmills are a wonder. Though its really a way to go there, your visit to Ilocos won;t be complete without going to this one. This was completed during the Marcos regime and a joint venture from a private business I think. But it's worth the millions spent because it is also considered as one of the best attractions in the area. Its in the beach seaside so it's fun to play around. You can also see pagudpod beaches in the view. such a marvel. Restaurants are a far from the site, no bath facilities as well. You really must hire van or pick up to go here coz the road is quite rough and its actually not on the main road. Neverthe less, its really worth the visit.

“Amazing Bangui Windmill”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Visited the Bangui Windmills for the first time with my 65-year old mother last year. It was one of our highlight in visiting Ilocos. We took a bus from Laoag to Bangui Windmills. Just tell the driver to drop you at the waiting shed. then you can take a tricycle going to the windmill. Or if you have not taken your lunch you can go to Kangkang restaurant. Fare is around 150-200php

“Stunning Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

It is a stunning view from a little rest area along the highway ot the valley and coastline below and of the windmills along the water. Be sure to get yourself a cute little unique and inexpensive windmill souvenir as well, showing off the great ingenuity and beautiful natural resources being used in the area.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

This is my main atrraction in Pagudpud.

The structure is just awesome and meaningful. Imagine supplying 40% of Ilocos Norte power!!

Looking at it really awe me.

The time taken to the Wind Farm is pretty far. Please do not attempt to go there by yourself. I know some travelers have been there by public transport but it is not easy to find. You will need to travel into a dirt road and after some turns, you will reach the middle of the wind farm.
