Had booked this resort for 2 nights after reading some good reviews here but ended up running out of this place after just one night.
The resort has been set in a nice location but has not been maintained at all. The bed smells of mold ,seepage marks on the walls, the rooms are dirty and there are tons of bed bugs and cockroaches to accompany you for the night l!!
They beds are very old and look like they may crumble anytime.
The cultural program, though an honest effort was a not even close to being entertaining.
The table cloth in the dining area smells bad and looks like it has not been changed for ages.
The only plus point is the service at this resort. They try to help you survive for the night.
This may have been a nice resort when launched 15 years back. Needs a major renovation!!

Room Tip: All rooms unfortunately were bad.

I traveled to coorg from Ooty and and for most of the people like me the perception of coorg was that of a hill station. Coorg or Madakeri is a spread across a huge area and travelling to most of the places are in the range of 80 - 100 Kms.

This hotel is situated in Khushalanagar which is a good 35 kms away from Madekeri which is the heart of coorg.

Coming to the hotel, i would say its a value for money deal, the property is huge with a open spaces and nice theme of kodagu warriors.

There are Villas and deluxe rooms, i had checked into a room and overall it was clean and kept well. The Linen and bed is not great and interiors resemble more of a ordinary room.

The service has been good, food quality was good as i tried the local cusine which most of the chefs are good at. If you are going to order chinese and northindian food it would be purely at your own risk :-). To all the people who have rated the food bad here i will say be a roman in rome and get treated like a roman.

The resort does arrange some evening local folk musical program and its good to go there and spend some time.

The room service was exceptional, i believe in the true purpose of TIPS (To Ensure Prompt Service ) if you are generous the service quality improves drastically.

I was fortunate to find a very good person named Nagaraj, a very dedicated and humble guy, barely managed hindi but quite prompt and dedicated.

Nice place to relax. The staff are traditional; food is ok. The property is fairly priced but is improperly maintained. Will be great If the property is regularly maintained ....

The surroundings are good..the breakfast served outdoors is nice..its more for young couples

Room Tip: Go for Standalone cottages

a badly maintained place - the cottages are dirty with big holes in the roof , the mosquito nets on the windows are torn, the bathroom door refuses to close , swimming pool has leeches around n hasnt been cleaned for months, complimentary dinner is pathetic n has very few items, most of which are tasteless. Do not go with family, avoid at all costs.

Though the price you pay and quality you get does not go hand in hand but its a good experience package. It is 3kms inside due too which it might be not a good idea to stay. But if you have your own vehicle and want to enjoy in relaxed manner then bang on. It has good food and a pool. Folk songs and dance performances are some highlights of the place.

Room Tip: 4 beds in one room!!
