“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Superb local food in a seemingly endless stream of courses with an accompanying tidal wave of aperitifs, during-tifs and after-tifs. Eric and Sandrine are fantastic hosts - Sandrine cooks and Eric is out front with the patter and jokes - and the atmosphere is warm, lively and friendly. Our son is fluent in French and happily engaged with Eric and a huge party of French diners. Great fun - don't miss this wonderful place. Recommend booking as it was very busy.

“WOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We read about this restaurant on a farm and decided to take a ride to check it out. Ultimately we stayed for lunch. Lunch???? This ended up being a multi course meal accompanied by wine, aperitifs, and even thought our French is limited, an extremely entertaining afternoon with the owner Eric. The food was a mélange of mostly duck courses served in many different ways. Started with a tureen of peasant bread soup that would feed an army. On and on we went through this amazing meal and just think, it was only 18 Euros or 23 Euros depending which version you ordered. Thanks Eric.

“Amazing food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Words are not enough to describe this place: all french specialities from the territory, really tasty and in HUGE quantity... I have also tried the best fruit juice ever ...
Nice decor and atmosphere, very good service, although not really fast, but it's normal since the whole place is run by 2 people...

Definitely a must in the area... Better reserving before getting there...

“Just amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

The best dinner we had in Perigord! We did not make a reservation a few days before, so we were about a dozen people that wanted a table the same day - they made it possible, even if they did not have enough tables, they moved/brought some for us a put together a big table for us! The food was just amazing! Delicious! We had local dishes (of course the Foie Gras) and the owner kept serving us lots of liqueurs (home made)! There was a "guardian" goose at the entrance - it made all seem so genuine! The owners are great people, they cook and they serve all alone! The atmosphere was great! You should not miss this if you pass by in this area of France!
