We opted to stay at the Premier Inn in Ripley so we could watch the Illuminations in nearby Matlock. It is the consistency of Premier Inns which I like best; I know exactly what to expect every visit - an efficient, friendly service with clean, functional, child-friendly rooms. This one was no exception. The food in the affiliated Table Table pub was decent pub grub and the breakfast was good with the exception of the (not very) scrambled eggs. All in all, job well done at good value.

My husband and i spent the night at the ripley premier inn with our grandson we were visiting gulivers kingdom, this was our first visit to a premier inn and we were very impressed on arrival there were a few people waiting to check inn however when the receptionist saw our grandson she handed him a back pack with some goodies in i mentioned that he needed the toilet she left what she was doing and took us straight to the staff toilet, chenck in was quick and we were made to feel welcom and special especially our grandson. The room was spotless and our grandson had a proper bed, the restaurant staff made us welcome the food was good and nothing was to much trouble, the next morning we had breakfast there and once again we were made to feel very welcome our grandson was given another goodie bag with colouring books etc in. I cant express enough how impressed we were especially with the lady on reception that really took to our four year old grandson taking time to talk to him we usually stay at the Marriot hotels but will definately return to the Premier Inn thanks to all concerned in making our short stay enjoyable and making our grandson feel very special

I was superbly impressed by this place. Having only stayed in Travel Lodges some 10 years previous as a child I had forced myself to not expect a lot. There was surely no way those adverts about "everything is premier but the price" could be right …. Well I was very wrong indeed! The reception staff were lovely and friendly, the room was a decent size, very comfortable and clean. The restaurant next door had a very nice menu (though we didn't have time to sample) and the bar stayed open until midnight at the weekend. The breakfast was great, it's £5 for all you can eat continental or £7.50 for all you can eat english + continental. We had the continental and there was a lovely spread of fruit juice, mini muffins, cereals, fruit salad, yoghurts, toast and croissants. All this and the place was booked solid as there were two festivals going on in Ripley!

I really would consider a premier inn again now. And I more than likely will be back next year!

We stayed here to attand the nearby Indietrack festival. Immaculately clean bedroom and bathroom, very comfortable bed - all very welcome after a day at the festival! Adjustable air-con (with option to switch off entirely). Traffic noise was audible, but road wasn't too busy at night so this wasn't too much of a problem. Newspaper I ordered didn't turn up in the morning, when I queried it with reception they sent someone to the nearby supermarket to pick one up for me! Very friendly staff and the breakfast was excellent. Overall we had a great stay and will be back next year.

I walked into the PTI on Friday night, in a bit of state to say the least.

Cheryl on the reception desk was wounderful. :)
She gave me a double room, for sole use (at the time), so i manged to get my head down for a bit.

When i explaned that my partner was comming down "thats' not a problem"
The night porter was a friendy guy, and the young lad on the desk on Saturday morning was just as cheerful, everytime we walked though we asked if we were ok.

We had breakfast in the bar, the staff were friendy and nothing was too much trouble for them.

For those who don't want to eat in the pub, theres a well know fast food building abouot 2 mintues walk away.
The car park is barrier controled.

I will stop here again.

great friendly service, from check-in to check-out. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, in the hotel and restaurant.
