“Everything you would wish for in a holiday cottage - and more!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

St Margaret's is absolutely perfect for an "Escape to the Country", short-term or otherwise, with all the essential facilities nearby - pub, village shop, Post Office, bus, etc.. Very comfortable and tastefully decorated, the owners have done a great job. Access for parking is quirky but manageable, and only adds to this cottage's immense charm.
Coldingham and St Abb's and the surrounding area are just idyllic, but then we would say that because we've bought a house here and are using St Margaret's as a place of retreat whilst work is being carried out - and couldn't have found a better refuge!

“Well equipped Cottage in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014 for a stay in December 2013

This cottage provided us with a warm haven during a very windy and sometimes wet winter break. Plenty of local walks and interesting places to visit.

“Brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Lovely comfortable cottage situated in a beautiful secluded location but within walking distance of village. Owner gave good detailed instructions on how to find cottage and explanation of key access Coldingham is a lovely area and we enjoyed the walks from the cottage, two nice coffee places in St Abbs. Also ideal location for visiting Bamburgh and Lindisfarne

“A lovely cottage of old world charm you will fall in love with.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

A lovely cottage of old world charm you will fall in love with. Beautifully restored you feel you do not want to leave. Set in a very quiet and peaceful location, the cottage is an ideal base for exploring this part of Scotland, (10 minutes from the A1 Scottish boarders). There are local woodland walks and trails and Coldingham Sands is only 20 minutes away (walking). Coldingham village and Priory are full of history and well worth a visit. Also St Abbs is nearby. St Margaret’s has 2 bedrooms (double and two singles and a sofa bed so can easily accommodate families or couples. Large and well equipped kitchen diner and large lounge. Separate conservatory looks onto beautiful gardens. Nice open spaces with sea views from the upper terrace. In November, a star gazers delight. Would I recommend it? Absolutely.
