“Disgraceful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

After passing this restaurant on several occasions, we decided to stop off and order a take away on our last night in Wales. The Menu looked very good, and we had read good reviews. However, to say this is Indian was terrible would be an understatement. Not only we were waiting for 30 minutes to order, we were then told that it would be another 30-40 minutes before the food would be ready! We left, and returned 35 minutes later, to be told that our food was being 'packed up' and would be ready in 5 minutes. After waiting a further 25-30 minutes, following a number of excuses, our food was ready; almost 1 hour and 40 minutes after stepping foot through the door. After such a long wait, we were offered bread as complimentary due to our wait. We headed back to our campsite hoping that the food would make up for the wait. Unfortunately we were let down again; the Chicken Korma was bland, the Pilau rice tasteless and the Chicken Jalfrezi tasted like Dolmio Pasta Sauce. The 'free' bread was like cardboard and the Poppadoms were awful. The Pickle Tray 'dips' came in bizarre food bags.

At an average price of £8.50 per main dish, we were expecting much better, and were left truly disappointed. We fully understand that the Restaurant was busy, and it was a Bank Holiday, however this should not be an excuse for the poor service and poor quality. To top things off, the gentleman at the campsite had the cheek to tell us that the food from Indiana Cuisine is 'much better than the cr*p from where you come from". We strongly disagree, and certainly wont be going back to Indiana Cuisine if we are in the area again.

“Tasted good, take away service very slow and pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

Went in for take away. Took 30 mins waiting before they even took the order. The food then took best part of a hour before it was ready. In all fairness it tasted good but portions were small and expensive. Ban breads were not much bigger than a place mat. Would we go again, yes as it's the only curry house in the vicinity!

“Third time and counting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Yes, this was our third visit to this exceptional restaurant and again we were more than satisfied with the personal warm service offered by Raj and his team. As said previously by other reviewers the wait for the food is longer than most Asian rest. , However the wait is definitely wortwhile for food which is both sublime and delicately spiced. We are fortunate to live near Cardiff which is blessed with great Asian rest. such as The Purple Poppadom and The Mint and Mustard and this fine establishment deserves to be compared and celebrated likewise.

“Massive disapointment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

We're a family of curry fans, and as such can be difficult to please, but this was way below par. In addition to the standard, portions were poor.

We had take-away and I ordered the non-vegetarian platter, it came in a small tin so portion didn't match up to the price. The selection included "tasty, but dry", "dry and tasteless" and chicken. By chicken, I mean rather than tikka seasoned pieces of meat it was just plain chicken. Admittedly, not as dry as the rest, but still just chicken.

We had ordered 5 other dishes including the "very fishy" platter, chicken Biryani and Jalferazi. None of which were praised.

The criticism of the portions may be a little harsh, as we have been spoiled by years or Yorkshire helpings, but the standard was indefensible.

Very high quality and excellent service. Best I've tasted anywhere.Go for "wet-style" food and include desert.
