“wonderful hotel...wonderful service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

I stayed at the hotel as a wedding guest with my husband and two children, the hotel had a really relaxed atmosphere, the family room was fantastic refreshing to have a family room with a bath, and the room was a really good size, children were very much welcome as there was quite a few in the wedding party,
The staff were so friendly would do anything to help you out, even helping to zipp me up in my dress!
The breakfast was lovely as was the food we ate during the wedding.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: As we had a new born baby and a toddler it was handy to have the family room outside of The hotel, a...

Better late than never!! We are locals and in our 50-60's all kids grown up and fed up of the troops visiting for Christmas so us two and two friends decided time for a change!! Well ladies we had a fantastic day got a cab there and back not expensive.. The food was fantastic nobody bothered you, the age group ranged from 2-90 and we all got on with our own day. i can not say how fantastic all 7 courses were and how full we were and not a dish to be washed.

My husband and I spent three nights here. I was at a knitting retreat and my husband was enjoying hikes and the pub. The rooms are roomy and the grounds are well manicured. I understand why they do so many weddings. The food is tremendous (this is good as there are few other options if you don't have a car). The service is superior. It is a quick taxi ride to the Pembroke Ferry to Rosslare Ireland. Getting there for us included a flight to London, bus to the train station in Reading, train to Cardiff then to Haverfordwest, and a taxi to the hotel. But it was doable and we were glad that we made the effort.

Room Tip: We were in Fern 17; nice room but you could hear the people above.

My sister held her wedding reception here on 16th March 2013. Several of the wedding party stayed over the night before as well as on the night of the wedding. The hotel provided very nice food on the Friday evening (whatever time the guests arrived!) and we were given free reign to make a start on the wedding preparations. This relaxed (but attentive) approach continued on the day itself and the staff went out of their way to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Both the wedding breakfast and the hog roast in the evening were lovely. It was the perfect setting for a fabulous wedding and Will and Gill were brilliant hosts. The hotel caters very well for children: there are several family rooms which are very comfortable. It also offers great value for money. Highly recommended.

We have been to a Wedding Evening Party which was really nice. This was the reason why we came back for Sunday Lunch. What a disappointment. The waiter looked like a butcher with a dirty towel and apron. To me he looked like a helper in the kitchen rather than a waiter. The food was not outstanding at all. The dishes were of cheap quality and rather looked like my nanny's dishes from 50 years ago. Overall it wasn't what I expected from an outstanding Hotel in Pembrokeshire. It is very old fashioned and could do with a refurbishment in and out.

Stayed in a junior suite which was very spacious with good living space and a decent size bedroom with en suite.

Shower not too hot in both temperature and water pressure. WiFi Internet worked on smartphone but not on laptop (big issue) Although staff willingness to assist was excellent on this.

Food great. Breakfast excellent and flexibility of the chef on the limited evening menu was greatly appreciated.

Overall very good service and I would stay again.

We had a lovely Sunday roast here a few weekends ago. The service was very good, the views are great and the price was reasonable. Lovely place, but probably wouldn't go back as I've had tastier Sunday roasts at a better price in the nearby pub (The Vine Inn, Johnston).
