Description: The Peace and Planty Hotel has a restaurant inside. If you look at some of the hotel reviews, you willsee they are actually for the restaurant. I think you should seperate them and as I need to write a food review, but didn't stay there.

“Consistently Decent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

There are very few restaurants on this island, even less that are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. This is a solid option, limited menu, decent food. Staff is nice and "Doc" is so sweet, he is a bartender. We ate here three times. They have a little BBQ twice a week, there are a lot of locals and tourists that drop in constantly. Everyone seemed to know each other. They were pretty friendly. There is also a ferry that leaves from their dock to Big D's Conch stop on the left side of Stocking island at 11 and 1. This hotels/restaurant seems to be the hub of a lot of the activity in town. I think the hotel is a solid choice if you want to stay in town and don't want to rent a car. I have no idea what the rooms look like.

“Good fish, average pluss”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

The grouper at P & P is worthwile, and the view is not to bad. The staff was friendly and service overall good. Would return for the fish alone.

“Solid dinner venue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012

Four of us ate dinner here and enjoyed it very much. The crab cakes and coconut shrimp appetizers were very tasty, and the main courses (blackened grouper, panfried grouper, chicken parmesan and bbq ribs) were also well received.

The ambiance is a "nice casual" and the service was very good. Not sure about the previous reviews about unfriendly staff - the waiters were all very friendly and helpful in providing recommendations. May not be the greatest value for your money ($20 for chicken parmesan seems at the high end, as does a $40 lobster tail), but certainly a place where you will find good food, with a low likelihood of disappointment.

“Nice place for an evening meal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2012

We didn't stay here, but ate at P&P on a couple of evenings. Food was always fine, it was the quiet season though, so only a few diners in the restaurant. Our only issue was all the flies flying about the place....would have been better had the windows been shut. Most other places on Exuma controlled the insects with candles but not here.

“Must do.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2012

Go see Lerman for a pre-dinner drink. Fantatsic views of harbor in quaint old Georgetown locale.
