This was my second time at the Princess Cays. The first was in 1992 a few months after they opened the "resort". I was not impressed then, but figured almost 20 years later things would have improved. Sadly, they did not. Yes, the island is pretty. But the cons outweigh the pros. Soda stickers from the ship cannot be used and you must pay for soda on the island. The tender service was truly awful. I am Captain's Circle Elite and had no problems getting onto a tender since I do not have to wait, but two tenders broke down and many people did not even get off the ship while we were there. I felt very badly for the folks that did not make it off the ship. The food on the island was terrible. The buffet food on the ship was better. I feel the bungalows are over priced. As for things to go - it's sit on the beach, watersports, sit in a bungalow, or a few boat tours or fishing (both $$). We got back on the ship after less than an hour on the island because we were bored, which turned out to be to our advantage as most of the ship population was on the island or waiting in line to get there. I would not book another Princess cruise with this as a stop, two visits was enough for me. We enjoyed Aruba and Curacao, our other stops, much more than the Princess Cays.
