“Awesome sight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

This concrete ship is still visible above water. It's a nice snorkel or dive. We did both.
We saw lots of different fish.

“Fun wreck; unique dive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

Site could just as easily be snorkeled, but diving the wreck allows a more detailed exploration of the lower hull and it's inhabitants. Really fun and unique spot.

“Great snorkeling and shallow diving site”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

The Sapona is a great snorkeling and shallow diving site with a variety of marine life and surprises like .50 caliber shell casings. Because of the relatively shallow depth it is easy to have extermely bottom times. The depth allows snorkelers to spend time on the bottom to see corals and smaller maine animals up close.

“Cool and unique experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

It's hard not to want to investigate the Sapona if you're in the area. We set out on a dreary day and got some great "ghost ship" photos of her. The water was calm enough that we were able to dock next to her and use the rope that someone had left to climb on what remains of the deck. Just be careful not to fall!

“Great fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

I've been snorkeling/diving this place for 20+ years. It's still super cool. Tons of sea life, all sorts of little nooks and crannies in the ship, and the best part is climbing inside and up the rope ladder to jump off the ship! Bring gloves and shoes/fin booties if you are going, its a lot of fire coral and sharp rust.
