We just got home from spending a wonderful week at Swain's Cay Lodge. We chose Swain's Cay as our destination because they offered access to the adventures we were interested in, Bonefishing, Kayaking, Beach Combing and Bike Riding. We also liked the website, it was informative and walked us through the booking process as well as giving us tips on how to get to Andros. We contacted the lodge via email and within minutes received a reply in fact all communication with the lodge was handled this way, we would ask a question and a response would come within minutes. Cheryl, the owner, was very responsive and helped us every step of the way including helping us with flights, taxi's and booking our fishing. The lodge itself is situated on a beautiful beach that leads to a large flat that can be fished. Our room had an ocean view that was gorgeous. The room was nicely decorated with beautiful linens on the beds and plenty of room in dressers and closets for all our gear and clothes. The main lodge has an open feel with large glass sliding doors that lead out to a deck. The food at the lodge was amazing, we dined on grouper, seafood pasta, mutton snapper and the best potatoe salad you have ever eaten as well as seasoned rices, rich soups and of course the world's best conch fritters. The beer was always cold and the rum punches made with cocunut rum and fruit juices tasted like heaven. The staff made you feel like you were family. They are a beautiful group of people that truly take pride in offering great customer service. As for adventures, we fished with a guide named Alvin Greene. We spent four days with him and had an incredible time. We caught lots and lots of large Bonefish including a couple that felt like giants to us, We kayaked to the Blue Holes, road Bikes around the island and combed the beaches for treasures. Truly an amazing trip.
Choose and Oceanview Room, they have one in the middle, the deck juts out past all others, that'...
