Description: Our chic China Beach restaurant offers a culinary tour of the Pacific Rim, with an appetizing menu inspired by the exotic flavors of Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia. Specialties prepared by our talented chefs include mouth-watering sushi dishes and fresh Bahamian seafood. Imaginative and colourful Asian decor sees scarlet parasols doubling as chandeliers in a restaurant that seems to float above the resort's serpentine swimming pool.

“Great food, great ambience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

We wanted a great restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, as well as my parents' anniversary and this place did not disappoint. The building structure is modern and perched on a prime beachfront location (within the Radisson Grand Lucayan grounds, across the street from the Port Lucaya market) It is well worth the effort to call ahead and reserve a table near one of their floor-to-ceiling windows that affords amazing ocean views.
The food was fantastic - each dish allowed you to taste the many subtle pacific-rim flavours. Prices were very reasonable for an "upscale" restaurant...perhaps $18-$20 per entree. The kitchen was open so you could watch the chefs in action if you so desired. My only complaint was the price of the sushi and sashimi.
As previously mentioned, the restaurant is within the hotel's property, so just let security know that you are there for the restaurant.
We had the privilege of dining at some great restaurants on this trip but China Beach was easily everyone's favourite.

“Wonderful setting and food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012 via mobile

The setting for China Beach is unbelievable. We had a window seat and overlooked the ocean. For dinner we had chicken teriyaki and chicken chow mien. The food and drinks were great. HUGE portions. Every rating would be a five if the food was not as pricey. Nevertheless, it proved to be a nice splurge.

“Good Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

Not a bad experience but it could have been better. The wait staff was very nice. We had Jermaine he was very attentive. The sushi was well made and Pad Thai was very delicious. Claretta and Maxine were managers their they both checked on us and did a great job watching over everything.
Make sure you get a table near the window to watch the ocean. Stunning no matter what they condition.

“Mediocre food, Terrible service.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

We ate dinner at China Beach once during our stay at Grand Lucaya. The food was average (I've had much better sushi and asian food in the states that cost half as much) and the service was poor at best. I ordered the Philly roll; which was labelled on the menu as having Salmon, Cream Cheese and Cucumber. When it arrived it was filled with Krab Stick and tiny slivers of salmon. I complained and our waitress brought me the menu and said that "Salmon is in it". When I pointed out that Krab Stick wasn't on the list she brought out the chef who said that it was "a playful adaptation of a Philly roll." That's fine, but not what I ordered and not what I wanted. They ended up making me a new roll that contained the advertised ingredients, but the staff had an attitude for the rest of our meal. That night, all the members of our party got sick.

“New Menue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2012

On this trip to Grand Bahama Island I am staying at the Grand Lucayan and have been working my way through the new items on the menue at China Beach - they are all up to my expectation. The view from this restaurant out over the ocean puts this as one of the best locations to dine in the world.
