“Perfect as home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

We spend fee days there, Ane and Mike are very kind, always trying to help you to find a solution, a way to home or to find. Breakfast is really home made and perfect as well. It was winter, but we were nearly ready to use the swimming pool. It is a quiet home as well.
Thanks Anne an Mike - Take care.

My second trip to Freeport, decided to try out a B&B. Aunt Anne's is located few minutes from Port Lucaya main area, very convenient. Literally minutes to Coral Beach. Host Anne and Mike are very very nice, breakfast served every morning fresh fruit, eggs, bacon ,toast , cereal juice, coffee, tea. Nice pool in the back, nice garden , internet service is great!
Room was spacious, clean, I stayed in the double room, room next door door has 2 single beds. There is a 3rd room for 2+ people on the other side of the property (by the pool area) which has its own bathroom and is more secluded)
. During my stay we shared a bathroom with another room (if you are on that side of the house) Just fyi . Note - this is a one level private house .. I enjoyed my stay, great location , great value.I would recommend .. I paid $80/night (total) over Thanksgiving weekend..

Room Tip: If you are a family, the bigger room by the pool that has Queen bed and a single with private bathro...

When in Freeport, there's simply no better place to stay than Auntie Anne's Bed & Breakfast! Not only are Anne and Mike very welcoming and friendly people and fun to stay with, you also get a bike to explore the island with - only 3 minutes to wonderful Coral Beach and about 5 to Port Lucaya.
Being a vegetarian, my food options were sometimes somewhat limited on the island. Not so at Auntie Anne's! You'll have an exceptional vegetarian breakfast with lots of fresh fruit (try the fresh pineapple!). The other guests praised Anne's eggs & bacon ... :)

What a wonderful experience. Mike and Anne are wonderful hosts. You feel welcome and leave as a friend. Quiet setting; a bike ride away to beach or port lucaya. You can lay by the pool or sleep or read and relax. They also have allot of knowledge about the island and really encourage you to enjoy as much of their island and sun as possible too. You can come and go as you please. Breakfasts are great and very relaxed.

Our wonderful hosts, Anne & Mike were extremely welcoming, hospitable & helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay with them during a recent holiday on Grand Bahama.
They offered great suggestions for things to do, sights to see and places to eat while on the island. We loved coming home to, what felt like our very own private, lovely pool and comfy room in between these activities. We also enjoyed borrowing their bicycles and taking a short ride to the beautiful beaches nearby or to the market at Port Lucaya.
We would be happy to recommend their friendly B&B to anyone wanting a great casual and unpretentious home away from home on Grand Bahama.

Then this is the place to stay! Mike and Anne were gracious hosts for my friend and I. We are two single middle aged women who wanted to experience a safe, quiet, authentic place in the tropics. First, the air conditioning in the room was great, so was breakfast. With a full belly from Anne's breakfast, set us ready to explore the island for the day. Their pool is available for use anytime, as was the wifi. There is a dorm sized refrigerator and microwave in our room. They are located just a few blocks from one beach, and a short bus ride ($1) or taxi ($10 - $15) to Port Lucaya (pronounced Lue-KYE-yah) beautiful beach, restaurant, marketplace and Unexso, excursions, etc. No frills or frou frou but clean, comfortable and everything you need for a nice stay. This is my first B&B experience and will not be my last. It was MUCH more personal, educational and authentically Bahamian than I would have got at a condo rental, hotel or resort.
Mike is very knowledgable about birding and Anne gave us several safety tips. They really looked out for us without being intrusive or overbearing. Mike provided transportation to and from the airport and made sure we each got our flights ok by walking in with us. Their place is clean and nicely maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend their B&B to solo travelers and/or single women. Highest ratings for this B&B! Feel free to email me with specific questions.

booked on the recommendation of a friend who lives locally, although I am not the typical B&B customer. Booked onLine and had immediate and helpful response. Real surprise was being picked up at the airport.

Anne and Mike are excellent hosts and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable. Cable or Satellite TV and WiFi a true bonus.

I paid $80 per day for a single. Definitely recommended.
