I was a little worried from reading some other reviews but all worries went away as soon as I got there. Great resort. 11 of us went there and every one had a great time. The rooms are clean, the food is good and the entertainment staff is the best. Every one of them were so nice and friendly. Thanks to the whole group for making it a great vacation.

We booked this resort after purchasing the ferry Groupon from Ft. Lauderdale and were not disappointed. First and foremost: Wyndham, please pay your staff more and don't work them to death! They are incredibly hard workers and do an amazing job, practically 24/7. We saw the same staff on duty full time for 2.5 days. Secondly, the entertainment was awesome. The Friday trapeze show was amazing, and the dinner that night was fantastic. Friday night bonfire is so much fun. Saturday dinner and all lunches pretty standard, not great but not terrible. Now the bad - the first room we were assigned to, the cheapest rate at $200/day for two people, was awful. Mattress was old and broken, pathetic really, and sparse furniture needs to be burned. There is no reason that in 2013 a hotel (not a motel) should have a limp flower printed blanket on the bed and nothing fluffy or inviting in a room. Seriously, a Motel 6 would have been better. We walked down the row and saw doors opened as rooms were being cleaned I got so irritated by knowing that better rooms were available and requested the upgrade. Happily, they complied at no charge (the bed was so broken), but really there is no reason these disgusting rooms should still exist. Wyndham: please upgrade all of your rooms to be at the level of A3205. That should be the bear minimum of standard for any hotel where people travel to a remote location and have no other options. Overall, a great trip. Will be booking with Viva Wyndham in the future, probably the DR next time.

Like many of the reviewers have already mentioned, your experience here will depend on your expectations. It is not a 5-star resort, but you aren't paying that kind of money for your room either. For the price you'll pay, though, it is a great experience. Drinks are plentiful, the beach is beautiful, and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. We were there for 2 nights and would go again.

For any divers out there, there is a dive shop that runs daily trips from the resort - a pleasant surprise for us since this isn't advertised on the website. Staff are friendly, shout out to Bernardo, Alice, and Pierre!

We enjoyed our week here mainly because the location and resort staff are great. Lovely expansive beach, great set of activities with very friendly and accomodating staff. The trapeze team (Lawson, Justin and Iliara) were exellent - very friendly, talented and accomodating! The shows are mainly dance based - for a good eason. The male staff are AMAZING dancers! The circus show was very artistic yet varied - we have seen likely 20 such shows are various resorts and this was the best. The food was average - lots of choice, always salad and fruit. The Italian night was great - large assortment of cheeses! Bar staff is very friendly and accomdating as well - cope well with busy evenings, always with a smile. It is great value for your dollar. The accomodations have been upgraded somewhat especially the bathrooms in the bedrooms, though are still qute basic yet comfortable and fairly large. Great large hot tub! The resort attracts a varied clientele, lots of Europeans and South Americans at this time of year, so it is enjoyable to chat with the other guests.
