“Secluded and hard to find... beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Unless you are really an adventurer or just stumble upon it by pure dumb luck, you will never find this place on your own unless you live on the island or have been here many times. It is secluded and peaceful. The men's room is the second tree on the right and the ladies' is further back. Actually it is just that, an unpopulated and undeveloped stretch of beach great for shell hunting, a picnic, a swim and just being there. One of my favorite spots and I have been driving out there for years. There are no street signs, street lights or other landmarks to find your way, and even harder to get back from after sunset.

“A good place to get robbed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

The beach is alright, but a lot of our stuff was stolen out of the scooter (the snapped off the seats, breaking the hinges).
It's secluded (if that's what you're into)--we only saw one other group. The sand and sun is fine but not really any better than any other less touristy beach and there was more trash than I've seen on most places in GBI.
If you really must be the only ones on the beach (for skinny dipping purposes?) then maybe it'll be worth the trek out? But leave your cell phones, wallets, credit cards, cameras elsewhere. If you take a scooter, leave the seat open and empty (otherwise they'll snap it off seeing if anything is in there). There's no guarantee that they won't also bust open a car.

Couldn't have found a better beach. Peaceful and calm. Loved it. Wish we had spent more time there but ...,

“Depends on the day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

We have been on the beach when soft sand as far as you can see. My wife enjoys hunting small shells. Depending on the tide, there maybe seaweed and sand flies, but once in the calm water they are not an issue.
