On the north side of the park is a small loop with some cool geological and historical sites, and is definitely worth a walk around before visiting the beach. The beach to the south is Gold Rock Beach, and is a beautiful expanse of beach.
The multiple caves here are amazing! They have stairs that go into the cave and decks that allow you to stand over the water. I didn’t go to the beach, but spending at least 30 minutes here to explore the caves will be worth it! You can scuba dive in the caves, but you must bring your own gear. There are trails with an abundance of plants and signs to explain some of them.
The Caves was very intresting, but the beaches was just breath-takingly beautiful and so very peacful.
My darter almost stepped on a needle today and when we explained the problem to the attendant at the beach we were dismissed and treated very rudely I would avoid this beach at all cost as the tide really eliminates all access to,the beach anyway.
A bit of a trip from Freeport area (40+ min driving) but well worth it. Can either rent a car/scooter and drive out on your own (may need to ask for directions a few times along the way!) or take a tour. Includes a couple neat caves, surprisingly varied ecological environments, some wildlife and a gorgeous beach. Only $5/person if you go out on your own. Secluded spot and awesome overall!
