“Wonderful, Relaxing beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

We went again to Paradise Cove and were still awed by the beauty. You need to go during high tide to get out past the seagrass that is there to protect the coral reef. You will see sea turtles, Rays, Sand sharks, all sorts of sea life. Very laid back and accommodating. The owners want to protect the reef while giving people a chance to experience it. I would highly recommend getting a wet suit as the water can still be a little chilly (yes, I am a wimp). But we had a wonderful day and it is very reasonable. They picked us up and brought us back to Island seas resort for 35.00 each and that included equipment.

“Paradise Cove is a gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

My teen daughter and I recently spent a day at Paradise Cove when our cruise ship docked in Freeport. For only $35 a person, easily arranged in advance by email, they will pick you up at the port, drive you to a beautiful little private-seeming beach about 20 minutes away, and give you a quick lesson in snorkeling (the fee also includes equipment rental). The beach itself is pristine, and you make your way out to Deadman's Reef for the snorkeling. I had never done it before, am not an expert swimmer, and had a fantastic experience viewing the reef and its beautiful fish. Those who want to just hang on the beach can rent a chair for $3 a day. There is a snack bar with reasonably priced food such as hot dogs and conch fritters. The whole place is low-key and uncrowded--our group from the cruise ship was about 25 people in all and there were only a few others on the whole beach. They got us back to our ship in plenty of time too. I would definitely return to Paradise Cove if I am in Freeport again,

“A must visit while on Grand Bahama Island”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

We visited Paradise Cove during a cruise and it is one of the best places to visit on this Island. Very clean beach, beautiful setting and a nicely run establishment. Everyone was very friendly, the grill served very good food and I found the prices to be very reasonable.

The staff is first rate and you can be confident that they will pick you up and get you back to port on time if you should be visiting on a cruise ship. (Tip...book directly with Paradise Cove and save a lot of money) If you are snorkeling for the first time, Barry & Co. will take very good care of you and keep you safe.

We had planned to snorkel but the weather was less than idea, it was cold and windy so it was just a beach day for us. However other people did venture into the water and reported seeing lots of fish and even a sea turtle.

Paradise Cove is a must-visit place while on Grand Bahama Island.

“Best snorkeling”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

My husband and I stayed near the marketplace in Freeport and had planned a snorkel trip from the marina but it got cancelled due to the wind. Luckily, someone mentioned this place and we were able to snorkel all day. It was some of the best snorkeling I have experienced. The food is decent and the lager is a must try. Nathan Parker, the van driver, is very entertaining.
