“Good Snorkeling”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

It's a bit of a wade/swim out to the best snorkeling, but well worth it. I circled the large rock twice, and while strenuous it was worth it. We saw multiple turtles, rays, and large schools of fish. Food was pretty decent. Try the Bushcrack and Sands beer, they're pretty good.

As with any snorkeling destination, I would suggest bringing your gear because the gear provided is not in the best shape.

“Awesome!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

The snorkeling is incredible here. There is a $3 entrance fee to the park. They will rent snorkel equipment and give you very good instructions on how to snorkel. The locals were super nice and assisted everyone around me on the easiest way to put on snorkel gear and getting into the water.

We arrived around 12 pm and left at 4 pm. We enjoyed the beach and had many frozen drinks. There are also bathrooms and shower for public use. During our time at the beach there were maybe 15 other people at one time or another.

A great day snorkeling and enjoying the beach.

“Deadman's Reef, Snorkeling”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

Very easy to set up this excursion. Nathan will gather you up right outside the Ship and transport you to Paradise Cove. He provides an informative presentation on the way to the location. Once there the it was a beautiful spot. Quick orientation and you are off on your self guided snorkeling trip. There is food and beverage also available at the beach. The reef was very nice with some nice fish around. It was just before TS Issac showed up so pretty overcast. Still a great value for your money....Highly recommend this if you like snorkeling.

“good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

nice price for what you get. I looked forward to getting some fish sandwhiches in the Bahamas and this place actually had the one for the cheapest price ($6) in my whole trip. The grouper fingers were pretty good too. Our driver, Nathan, was an interesting character. It was a pleasure to have met him, you'd think he was the salt of the earth. He seemed to know everybody on the island.

“GREAT snorkeling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

We rented a car and took a trip to the West End one day. We stopped at Deadman's Reef. BEST snorkeling of our entire trip! Such a great value and you have the freedom to go out when you want for as long as you want. We saw a great variety of fish and coral and even go to see a sea turtle and a nurse shark. I'd highly recommend a trip out to this beach!
