My husband and I had just returned from a week stay in a five star time share in Cancun Mexico,so we were thinking we would not be impressed with the Atlantis. However, we were pleasantly surprised, the resort is awesome....we are both senior citizens and so are our traveling companions...there is something there for everyone..all ages ....the resort is so large be prepared to do a lot of walking.....even tho there is a shuttle that takes you around which is nice...but one of the main things that made out trip such a wonderful experience was the staff....they were the BEST....I don't know how anyone could complain about the way they treated their guests...we were treated like VIPs even tho were were not....one thing I would advise anyone going is to research all the available activities so you don't miss out on anything and that you don't get lost trying to find out where you need to be...this will save you a lot of time and many steps ...and yes the food can be pricey, but not anymore than any other first class resort....as I said earlier, we were in cancun in oct and the prices were comparable....also, you have choices ,there are lunch places that are very well priced and the food and service very good....we liked Murray's for breakfast, loved the market place too...for dinner we were impressed with Mesa grill...the Bahamian and the sea fire steakhouse...highly recommend them all....and OMG the aquarium is a must...!!!! Only negative we had was with trying to get there....we live in Houston and couldn't get direct air....took us forever to return home due to all the delays...I will say they raise their prices on bar drinks on weekends. So if I were going back, we would go during the week since we don't work...Also, this time of year is off season so there is no lines and no problem securing places and lounge chairs anywhere...even the inner tubes were plentiful. !!!
