My wife, our young daughter, and I spent five days earlier this month on Paradise Island. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch near the harbor at Green Parrot Hurricane Hole. We had read about this place and heard the food was decent. Supposedly there is another "Green Parrot" restaurant on the waterfront nearby, so hopefully we are reviewing the right place.
The restaurant is hidden away, off the main street, and is a bit difficult to find. Initially it appeared to be not much more than a beach-type bar situated on the harbor. I'm still not sure where they prepare the food because we never saw a physical structure or any sort. We ate on the outdoor patio next to the bar. The bartender came over to our table and took our order. I had a pulled port sandwich a Kalik; my wife had a club sandwich. Both sandwiches were delicious, arrived quickly, and came with a side order of fries. The Kalik was ice cold and refreshing.
While the harborfront view isn't spectacular (it actually feels a bit industial on that section of the waterfront), the Green Parrot Hurricane Hole offers good food, decent service, and pretty reasonable prices. It's definitely a "no-frills" dining experience, but we enjoyed our lunch and would definitely go back.
